Deviled Eggs - Yummy!
(Did you know that deviled eggs can also be called "stuffed eggs"?)
Tradition!
Deviled eggs are simple food. Whenever we have a potluck dinner to attend, I bring deviled eggs. I am guaranteed to take home an empty plate! Deviled eggs are simple enough that you can have your children help you make them. This is a recipe that everyone can help with at almost any age! I can now have my oldest (19!) make them from start to finish! We also have deviled eggs with all of our holiday meals. Deviled Egg Trays!
My Deviled Egg Recipe
My recipe originated from the Better Homes & Garden cookbook. I have "tweaked" it over the years and now I don't measure anything. I just "splash and dash". I do a lot of taste testing to get the balance of flavors just right.
Original Recipe:
6 hard-cooked eggs
ΒΌ cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 teaspoon vinegar
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/8 teaspoon salt
Halve hard-cooked eggs lengthwise; remove yolks and mash with a fork. Stir in mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard, and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Stuff egg whites with yolk mixture. Garnish with paprika or parsley, if desired. Makes 12 servings.
My Modification:
Substitute/add Dijon mustard - gives it a little more "kick"

I like deviled eggs no matter how they're made, but not too "off-the-wall". So I'll vote with the standard version.

Who is LakeMom?!
My Bio
Hi, My name is Terry and I am a true Gemini - I multi-task & start many projects at the same time (without completing some of them!). I am a Mom (#1 job), wife (#2 job), Girl Scout volunteer, College Graduate, amateur photographer, amateur graphic artist, and an entrepreneur. I want to do so many things on the Internet (back to the starting multiple projects!) and it is a goal of mind to find focus in my life. Focus on the project/task at hand and focus on my family.
I am still new to Squidoo (Oct. 2008) so my focus/lenses is limited. I have 3 daughters and because of those three girls - I have spent the last 10 years a part of Girl Scouts. It has become a big part of my life. So I have created some lens around Girl Scouts: Girl Scouts & You, You Said Yes to Being a Girl Scout Leader,Girl Scout Birthday. Check out my group:Girl Scout Headquarters.
My other passion in life is being a mom. I approach motherhood with humor in my lens (and in real life!). the lens that started it all is Surviving Motherhood with Humor.
I am now a "Rocket Mom"!

- Scrapbooking or How I Keep My Sanity
I survive motherhood by finding humor in our day-to-day struggles but sometimes moms need our own time. We need to go "play" with other moms. So moms should have a play date. This summer my play date was a weekly scrap booking session. Five - ten wom... view lens -
