Any one with a website knows they want people passing by, and looking at their website.
To be more specific, they want people, the right people, or targeted traffic, to find their website, so they can use the information, service, or buy the product on the website.
Many people have created wonderful websites, only to find they have not been found by anyone, and that is a travesty.

Article marketing is also known as a silent marketing tool that can work for years for you.
There are some internet marketers, or website masters who would prefer you to think that traffic generation is a complex art, that takes years and years to master, and that you should pay someone else to do it for you. Whilst that certainly is an option for some people, a fundamental understanding can be sufficient to help you on your way to creating the results you desire for your site.
