TSL COMPOSITE SNOWSHOES - LEADING THE SNOWSHOE REVOLUTION
Remember when wood and cowhide snowshoes were the norm? Since those days snowshoe design has gone through more than a few changes - the most significant being the diversion from the universally accepted wood framed snowshoes to aluminum frames.
When these revolutionary snowshoes came to the market people were slow to accept them until they discovered these oddities were more maneuverable, lighter, and less cumbersome than their old snowshoes; not to mention the bindings were extraordinary.
Since those days aluminum framed snowshoes have become the norm, and over the last 20 years the only real changes have been in binding technology - until now. TSL composite snowshoes are changing the way people think about snowshoes.
Looking like something from the set of Battlestar Galactica, these revolutionary snowshoes feature one-piece molded frames with crampons that run the entire lenth of the snowshoe. There are no rivets in the frame and the binding has a rigid platform on a rotating toe cord. These snowshoes also come with a heel-lift for climbing and a lockdown feature for maneuvering in tight quarters or transportation.
In order to move forward sometimes you need to start a revolution and that is just what TSL Snowshoes has done.
L.L. BEAN TRAILBLAZER: SETTING THE NEW STANDARD FOR SNOWSHOE BINDINGS
No, there is no battle going on, but there is a revolutionary snowshoe binding that is and giving everyone a reason to yell charge! - the L.L. Bean Trailblazer Step-in.At a glance this looks like an ordinary, aluminum framed snowshoe, but check out the binding - no straps, buckles, or ratchets; just step-in and go. Granted, you have to get the boot that goes with the binding, but they are warm, comfortable, and waterproof. Best of all, they eliminate the misery of walking out of strap bindings and fumbling with frozen ratchets.
If you can't tell, I am really excited about this step-in system and if all the above features aren't reason enough to celebrate they are also made in the USA by TSL Snowshoes - CHARGE!
Anyway, here is a link to the Men's Trailblazer snowshoe package at L.L. Bean. From there it is easy to get to the Women's snowshoe package and with these revolutionary step-in bindings it is easy to get anywhere.
Step out of the ordinary into the extraordinary!
