Does this ebook deserve your attention?
Train Your Dog in One Evening is an ebook with a title which promises a lot... too much, in my opinion, but in the competitive world of dog training info products, it IS a catchy title.
Still, I did find the ebook (and the two bonus ebooks that come with it) to be helpful for many dog problems, and clearly written. I was very pleased to see that they advocate the use of praise and rewards rather than painful punishment in training. My own website has the same approach. Not only does this make training a lot more fun for everyone, but it also is more effective!
Train Your Dog in One Evening: What's in this Ebook?
I like the format of handling each topic with the story of a particular dog.
It's not rocket science to deal with these problems, but it does take some knowledge -- which the ebook can give you. You supply the time, love, and patience.
- Housetraining problems
- Not coming when called
- Running away when let loose
- Excessive barking
- Problems with digging
- Jumping up on people
- Pulling on leash
- Biting and nipping
- Chewing on things
- Being nervous or shy
My Opinion of HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DOG IN ONE EVENING
I liked it.
I think this is a useful compilation of information. It's written clearly, and simply enough that anyone can read it. I like its emphasis on positive methods. Do take a look at the website for this ebook
And here are links to a couple of pages on my dog training site.
- "How I Trained My Dog in One Evening"
- This is the description of this ebook, and where you can buy it. The page includes a long list of what you can learn from the ebook, and once I had my own copy, I compared it to most of the things on the list. They were there, as promised, and I agreed with them!
- How to Train Your Dog in One Evening: A Review
- The review on my website of the ebook, How to Train Your Dog in One Evening, and the two bonus ebooks that come with it... pretty much the same as what I say here.
- Positive, Effective Dog Training Methods
- This is the homepage of my website.
The Potty Zone: Bonus Ebook on Dog Potty Training
I thought this was quite well done.
I liked that it discusses crate training, paper training, and even litter box training.
If you are getting a puppy, the addition of this bonus makes this package more attractive.

Dog Training Ebooks Compared to "Real" Books
I love 'em all... but specially ebooks!
I also like the feature that you can search an ebook on your computer in Adobe Acrobat, using Control-F or the Mac equivalent, to find every mention of "digging" or whatever you want to know about.
Ebooks can be printed out. Sometimes I'll do a whole ebook, but usually I just print the pages that I'm working with, like instructions for teaching something.
Who is this ebook for?
It's so lame to say "everybody" and I won't!
I think this would be a good choice for families, as kids who can read pretty well could easily manage this.
But if you are already experienced as a dog trainer, I think you'd be happier with some of the more specialized books, ebooks, and DVDs that I review on my website -- see the link on the link list higher up.
Any curiosity at all? Here's the link again.
- The website for HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DOG IN ONE EVENING
- Ellen Langton isn't the author of the ebook, she's someone who found it very useful... along with her husband, and you'll see why. They were about to give up their dog...
