English Mastiff Training Tips

I know that for me training my English Mastiff was a key problem that I had. I am sure that you will probably encounter the same problem because of your English Mastiffs size you will want to have a program that recognizes that your dog is not your normal lap size dog that you can power around.

Heck by the time my English Mastiff was six months old he was already strong enough that he could have pulled me anyway that he wanted to. So that is a definite factor in choosing the proper dog training program. I know that for me since I am a small woman and he is such a huge dog that I would need to have him properly trained to me.

However, since your English Mastiff is a huge dog I would recommend using a dog training program that has videos so that you can see how your dog is supposed to react to your commands.

A training program for your English Mastiff is always a wonderful thing. I know that since they are such a huge dog that you will want to ensure they are properly trained. Please remember that your dog will be huge and if they are not trained then you might have trouble controlling them.

English Mastiff training can be a challenge, but it is not impossible. I know that when I was going thru training with my English Mastiff he was a handful, but you will also want to have your English Mastiff training program before they get to old. I know that the younger that your English Mastiff is when you train him it will be easier. I know that my English Mastiff training was when he was 6 months old which was a good age because before that age he didn't listen that well, but after he was through his English Mastiff training classes he learned to respect me and listened a lot better than what I had ever thought possible! Remember with a giant breed dog like the English Mastiff you will want to gain that respect before they decide that you do not deserve any respect.
