Can't wake up in the morning? We can help!

Do you have a hard time waking up in the morning? Millions of people around the world struggle with this, I was one of them until I started using some of the tips I'm going to share with you in this article. All the information you need to start waking up on time and feeling good can be found in this article. Imagine what you could do if you could wake up an hour earlier every day.

Basic first steps to waking up in the morning

Wake up photo1. The first and most important tip is to get a good nights sleep. That doesn't necessarily mean a lot of sleep but quality sleep with no distractions, a comfortable bed, and comfortable clothing.

2. Do something active as soon as your alarm goes off whether it is standing up, drinking a glass of water or getting in the shower.

3. Set your alarm clock out of arms reach, It becomes much harder to hit snooze if you can't reach the alarm. Check out this funny article about an alarm clock that everytime you hit snooze you donate money to your most hated charity

4. Have a reason for waking up early if not it will be hard to find motivation to wake up.

Practice waking up

Dont laugh this really works

If you want to be good at anything in life you have to practice and waking up is not exception. What do I mean by practice waking up? This is what you need to do. Setup your room or wherever you sleep just like it would be in the morning, put on the clothes that you normally sleep in and set your alarm clock for a couple minutes from now. Then crawl in bed, close your eyes like you are going to sleep and wait for the alarm to go off. As soon as it goes off sit up and get out of bed. Do this several times to get your body used to getting up as soon as it hears the alarm. I know this sounds goofy but it works.

I'm not sure cause at the minute I try to cram in everything at night and therefore I never have any motivation to get up in a morning :L. But yeah I genuinley believe if you wake up earlier in a morning you will become more succesful :') xx

Tay says:

It all depends on the person, because everyone is different. Sometimes I wake up super early to get things done, but I'm very tired halfway through the day. And sometimes I can sleep in and stay up late to get things done as well. It just depends. I love waking up before the sun is out, but it is difficult sometimes.

Slow Waker Upper says:

All companies should realize that all people are different - some like to get to work early so they can leave early, others like to arrive late and stay late. Work hours should not favor one or the other. As long as you put in your time as a professional, arrival time shouldn't matter.

sponias says:

I don't think so. I hate time limitations. When you are intelligent you don't accept working under pressure.

ClassyGals says:

I'm a night owl and that means getting up late. I seem to get just as much done sleeping in. I feel more productive getting the sleep when I need it.

Coffee and how it affects your sleep

Get rid of coffee to help wake up in the morningDo you drink coffee first thing in the morning to wake up? Well you may be suprised to find out that your morning cup of joe may be the reason your not sleeping well at night. Caffeine can stay in your blood for over 12 hours and keep your body from getting the quality nights sleep it need. If you want to do a little experiment try not drinking coffee for one week and see if you wake feeling better by the end of the week. I know it sounds crazy a whole week without coffee but give it a try you'll be glad you did.

How lack of sleep affects your health

tired peopleDid you know that the amount of sleep you get at night can affect your health? Getting less than 7 hours a night of sleep greatly increases your risk of serious disease and colds but getting more than 8 hours a night disrupts blood sugar levels increasing your chance of getting type 2 diabetes. These are the more serious factors but of course you also have to think about sleepiness, lack of production and low energy levels. I guess what I am trying to say is that it is best to get 7-8 hours of sleep a night keep your body and mind healthy.
