Training An Abused Dog

Consistency
You need to give consistency to the abused dog
The first step for training an abused dog is a schedule. And you must be consistent with this schedule. Is the most important step if you want to reach the dog.
The dog will try to escape and run away at the minimum opportunity, or he will create the opportunities to escape. Other dogs will try to make an aggression to the trainer. Some dogs will simply ignore the situation and turn their backs.
Training an abused dog is not easy and you will need a very long time. The best option is take the dog to someone with dog training experience and who understands canine behavior. This is a long process, you cannot do it overnight. If the dog was severely abused it may take a few months before you see any changes in the dog.
