Raising a Jack Russell pup with other pets will usually work out well as it gives the pup company and family, however bringing an adult Jack Russell into your home with other pets could be disastrous as this breed is first and foremost a hunter and can easily kill a cat. Also remember this when bringing new pets home if your Jack Russell was not trained it may not be safe for your new pet.
