Can you really exercise on a trampoline?

Damn straight you can

Trampolining is a great low impact exercise that is fun, easy to begin and extremely popular world wide. The easiest way to get your kids to play outside is to make sure that they are having fun while they do it. And everyone has fun on a trampoline, but not everyone is aware of the many health benefits that trampolining offers.

The most important fact is that activity on a trampoline is low impact, this is so important because it means that your children's ankles, knees and joints are not being damaged by impact like it does with other sports.

Some of the health benefits that a trampoline can offer your children include:

1.Improved circulation

2.Increased the capacity of heart and lungs

3.mproves development co-ordination and balance

4.Improves muscle tone (particularly legs, thighs, hips, abdomen and arms)

5.Increases energy and vitality

Trampolining is also a competitive sports, and in the Year 2000 it was first included as an Olympic sport. A good competitive trampoliner (it may not be grammatically correct but that's what I call them) can reach a height a dizzying height of 10 meters (thats lots of feet, hey metric is the future you should jump on board)), and perform a variety of dizzying moves and somersaults. And to think that it all started in suburban backyards all over the world.

Trampolines also feature in the high energy and competitive sport of Slamball which is a combination of basketball and rugby. It is also one of the most entertaining sports that i have ever seen.

Another sport is Bossaball which is a variant of Volleyball and has some crazy soccer moves included

The health benefits of a trampoline are further illustrated by the variety of sports that use them as a safe and active part of an overall training regime. The trampoline is the ultimate training tool for any acrobatic techniques and is used for famous sports such as diving, gymnastics, freestyle skiing, water skiing, snowboarding, and figure skating. And the best thing is that it's very low impact whilst helps to develop co-ordination, bone density and ligament strength.

Whilst your Child may never be interested in some of those high intensity activities you can be sure that they will love the fun and freedom that a trampoline can offer them.
