Trane Heat Pumps, The best on the market

You've probably heard horror stories about heat pumps. And you know what, a lot of them are probably true. But there are probably a lot of things you you didn't know. Many of the complaints about heat pumps were very justified but were mostly directed at the older generation of heat pumps. Newer heat pumps are far more efficient, and in many cases can almost feel as good in the winter as a gas furnace.

We recently were in need of a new heat pump as our old faithful had been chugging for 20 years, which is about 120 in human years. It was noisy, and inefficient. We shopped around for about a month and finally decided that Trane Heat Pumps were simply the best for our needs.

After speaking to a local rep for Trane we were convinced that this was the way to go. Not only were we confident of the quality of the Trane heat pump but the factory warranty was outstanding as well.

The bottom line is Trane Heat Pumps are built to last. The quality of workmanship is outstanding and they come with an outstanding factory warranty. There are several models of Trane Heat Pumps and which one is right for you depends on your heating and cooling needs.

Trane's most efficient units are the Ultra efficient XL19i Trane Heat Pump and XL16 heat pumps. On the lower end of the scale are the XR14 and XR 13. We opted for the XR13 unit, but let me say, when I say low end of the scale, we are not even in the same ballpark as the older heat pumps.

Even the lowest end Trane Heat Pumps are top of the line. The cooling power is outstanding and the heat, well, my wife has been almost always cold in the winter, and she now complains that the house feels hot. It feels like a gas furnace, and we live in a climate that can get cold in the winter. No we are not in the arctic but Pennsylvania can get some real chilly nights.

I'm not saying that there are not other companies that make good heat pumps, that would not be true, Carrier Heat Pumps or Goodman are excellent but we just felt that after shopping around that a Trane Heat Pump was the best choice for us.

To wrap this up, Trane Heat Pumps are quality from top to bottom, inside and out. The only caveat I will say is that make certain you go with a trusted installer, Do not try and install Trane heat pumps or any heat pump by yourself. Make sure your installer is highly qualified.
