It's About More Than Just Changing Your "How"
By now you've most likely heard about this new model for building a network marketing business on the Internet called Internet Network Marketing. or sometimes Internet Attraction Marketing. This is so revolutionary that some would even describe this new approach as a new wave and some, more exuberantly, would label it a tsunami. If you're among those for whom Attraction Marketing is still a mystery, I would like to refer you to a very short article by industry guru and trainer, Mike Klingler, entitled What Is 'Internet Attraction Marketing' and How Does It help More Network Marketers Cash-in On the MLM Model?
It's important to recognize that there is a lot more to this attraction-based Internet Marketing for MLM than just some new activities or a new way of doing things. Those who set out to master this new approach by just changing their "how" are likely to come away very frustrated and disillusioned by the whole experience.
I can assure you that the full potential of attraction-based network marketing will not be realized by just changing how you do things. Yes, the "how" is important, but probably far more important is the "be" behind the person doing the "how."
Let me explain. One of the keys that makes this new approach to network marketing so revolutionary is the fact that the networker is positioning himself/herself as a servant rather than as a salesperson. Instead of "Let me show you this fantastic dealy-bob that I have for you!" it must become "What is the nature of the challenge you have and how can I help you solve it?"
Do you see the basic attitude shift between those two approaches? This shift in attitude will be a huge "mountain to climb" for some and perhaps a little easier and more intuitive for others.
The bottom line here is that a transformation must take place--yes, in how you do your business (that's the easy part), but also in your fundamental attitude toward the business and your prospects (that part is much harder). That's why I like to call this new way of doing things, Transformational Network Marketing.
Transformation implys a change from the inside out. When a true transformation occurs, the behavior changes automatically...it becomes second nature or unconscious. That's the goal we networkers should set for ourselves. What can I do to make that new "how" come from my heart rather than from a rulebook?
I certainly plan to write more on this in the very near future, but in the meantime I encourage you to take a close look at Renegade University. As one of the charter members and guides, I can assure you that the whole philosophy of shifting your motives forms the undercurrent of all that they do and teach.

- Hey Jerry,
Thanks for this phenomenal lens! It is very insightful and I believe it will help many take a closer look at this much needed shift in network marketing to focus on giving (which attracts prospects) rather than greed (which creates an environment of chasing prospects).
