More Than Meets The Eye!
I Would like to share, with you, some of my own Optimus Prime toys collection! You may be amazed at what you discover! There are numerous type of Transformers Optimus Prime toys design in this world, NOT only the truck that many are already familiar with. I started collecting Transformers toys back in 2005. I still remember that moment when I first saw the Optimus Prime MP-4 Masterpiece model "Love at first side". This is the toys that triggered me to be the avid Transformers' toys collector that I am today.

This Week Transformers Update 

Transformers Nike Shoe limited edition released

Transformers box office movie recently has aspired a great branded merchandise and also amazing new line of transformers toys (Transformers Movie). Nike is one of the branded shoe maker has released a limited edition Transformers Nike Shoe in China, HK, Taiwan, Philippines and US. We have seen Nike and Transformers team up before to introduce sport label toys line, a cool shoe that transform. This new shoes will not transform as we wish.

There are three different Transformers shoes available which include Zoom Flight Club with Megatron, Zoom FP with Bumbleebe, and Zoom Sharkalaid as Soundwave Transformer. Each has its own color, shoe style and box design.

The great thing for die-hard old-school Transformers fans is that the shoes are released in specially designed boxes which resemble the Transformers toys from back in the 80's. Moreover, the back of the shoe box features a battle scene mural and technical specs from the original Transformers G1 packaging.

Optimus Prime Masterpiece MP-4 Convoy 

This is a very high quality toy produce by Takara Japan. This version include the container (trailer) in it packaging. Masterpiece versions are originated in Japan, as everyone known Japanese are very good at miniature design and really pay attention to detail. As you can see this Masterpiece version of toys are almost perfectly identical to carton series generation 1 character. This is the first transformers toys I brought that trigged me to be a transformers toys collector. I'm very satisfied with quality and detail of the Takara (TakaraTOMY now) toys. You also can find this Masterpiece version 20th Anniversary produce by Hasbro and MP-1 from Takara but without the container. This is also available in white color MP-2 feat. Ultra Magnus.

Transformers Masterpiece

The Masterpiece series consists of redesigned with today's advanced engineering techniques of famous characters in the Transformers Generation 1 toy line. The Masterpiece toys are larger, more detailed, more complex to transform, and more pose able than their original Generation 1 versions, but their appearances have been kept as close to the original cartoon characters as possible.

Optimus Prime Universe Classic 2.0 SE-01 

This is Universe version Optimus Prime produce by Hasbro. Not much I can tell compare to Masterpiece version this one is smaller and made in 100% plastic. I like this version is because of the box, the presentation of the box is very nice and you no need to take it out of the box.

Transformers Universe is redecorates and repackages of older toys. This line was revitalized in 2008 with new molds and introduction of various sub-series from previous popular Transformers lines nickname Classics and Classic 2.0.

Optimus Prime Movie  

The movie toys version are design and produce by Hasbro originally, but you still can find Takara version of Optimus Prime Movie. The differences are only the paint job, physically there are the same. I preferred Takara version because of the quality and detail Takara offer that you can't get it on Hasbro version. You have to see it closely to believe. Optimus Prime Movie version can be found in different classes' leader class, voyager class, & etc.

Optimus Prime Disney Label 

This is my favorite collection, I'm a transformers fan and I also fan to Disney when both of them merge you just imagine. This is awesome! I just not happy with the size, I feel that it's too small for me. This is produce by Takara, at this time you can't get it from Hasbro. Also can be found in the black color.

Optimus Prime Alternity A-01 

This robot is base on Nissan GT-R produce by Takara and no Hasbro version yet. This is another high quality toys that I like. It is small compare to Binaltech / Alternator version but the detail make me like it so much, furthermore the Nissan GT-R is one of my dream cars. You also can find this version on red color A-01 Vibrant Red. Coming soon is A-02 base on Nissan Z feat. Megatron.

Optimus Prime Animated  

This Animated version is design and produce by Hasbro. You can't find this animated version on Takara. This is exclusively for Hasbro. This is another great toy to have in my Optimus Prime collection. Animated is another generation of transformers this character has evolved thru time. This version has design to make the model look good on robot figure after transform. Other version the robot not look as good as animated version.

This is another unique transformers robot I like. NIKE Free 7.0 footwear that can transform into a robot is something exclusive to add to my collection. These robots only produce by Takara. You also can find 2 other different colors of shoe Black (Megatron).

Optimus Prime Alternator Nemesis 

Alternator and Binaltech actually are the same version the name different because Alternator produce by Hasbro and Binaltech produce by Takara. As usual Binaltech is more detail, high quality and slightly different on paint job (more realistic to real cars). This transformers robot is base on Dodge RAM SRT-10 feat. Nemesis. I like this because of its black color, the color will be perfectly completed my Optimus Prime model collection (numerous colors). Normally I don't keep the same model version with difference color (only keep 1 for each version) but I do keep same character in difference classes. I only select the best color to feed my collection. You also can find this version in red color BT-22 (Binaltech).

Transformers Alternator and Binaltech are the toy lines of the Transformers series which is use 1:24 scale accurate real-world vehicle modes officially licensed from cars manufacturers.

Transformers Toy History 

The Transformers toyline was originally created and produced by Japanese company TakaraTOMY (formally Takara) at that time transformers toys is branded as Diaclones and Microman. In 1984 Hasbro USA has rebranded the toys as The Transformers with the taglines 'More then Meets The Eye' and 'Robot In Disguise'. Typically the transformers toy divided into 2 group: the heroic Autobot (Cybertron in Japan) and their opponents, the evil Decepticons (Destrons in Japan).

Transformers G1 (1984 - 1990)
The first transformers toys are created by Takara notably Diaclones and Microman series. Hasbro bought the distribution right and sell them in USA but rebranded as 'The Transformers'. The earliest toys had some parts made of die-cast metal were eventually phase out. The term Generation One is the series known as 'Transformers'. Nowadays the G1 toys are under sub-series of the Transformers Universe line.

Transformers G2 (1993-1995)
In 1993 Hasbro relaunched the Transformers with Generation 2 line. Megatron's figure identity a handgun was change to a tank due to safety and security concern. Most of the Generation 2 toy was recolors of the UK G1 releases. Nowadays G2 toys also under sub-series of the Transformers Universe line.

Beast War and Beast Machine (1996-2001)
The Beast Wars: Transformers toy line was launch in 1995. A new direction and a new beginning, this is Transformers figure that transforms into robotic animals. Nowadays these toys are under sub-series of the Transformers Titanium and Transformers Universe lines.

Robot in Disguise (2001-2002)
In 2000 Japan Takara made a bid to return to the familiar vehicle transforming robot concept. Optimus Prime and Megatron once again were re-engineered, with Optimus Prime a fire truck and Megatron a six charger. Nowadays this toys also under sub-series of the Transformers Universe line.

Transformers: Universe (2002-present)
Redecorates and repackages of older toys. This line was revitalized in 2008 with new molds and introduction of various sub-series from previous popular Transformers lines nickname Classics and Classic 2.0 (2006).

Optimus Prime Galaxy Force THS-01 (Cybertron) 

This is my wish list Optimus Prime toy. Since the Transformers movie is more famous today, so I spend most of the budget for this Transformer movie toy as first priority before these price increase. History has proven the Transformers toys price increase thru time. THS version is my favorite Optimus Prime Galaxy Force/Cybertron to be added into my collection. This version produces by Takara Japan.
