Whether you're heading to Washington for vacation or a temporary or permanent move or you're visiting for business, you'll find plenty of things to do and sights to see.
Known as the Evergreen State, Washington boasts some of the regions most beautiful scenery and is home to the Cascade Mountain Range which includes Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Rainier and Mt. Baker.
In addition to it's gorgeous mountains and other natural wonders, Washington is home to Seattle, Tacoma and it's Capital City, Olympia and is known the world over for such modern icons as Microsoft, Amazon.com and Starbucks Coffee to name a few.
Whether you're staying for a week or a month or a lifetime, you owe it to yourself to see its famous places like the Space Needle and of course, those lesser known attractions like Fort Warden State Park on the Olympic Peninsula.

If you visit Olympia while in Washington, you definitely owe it to yourself to visit the Capital Building. The gardens and arboretum are gorgeous, especially in the Spring and early Summer when the flowers start blooming.

Snohomish County is just North of the Seattle area and is home to Everett, the county seat and many towns with a small-town atmosphere. Places you should visit include:
Over on the Olympic Peninsula, at the Northeast corner, you'll find the historic artsy community of Port Townsend. With it's quaint waterfront shops, blend of historic and modern buildings and gorgeous views of Whidbey Island and Puget Sound waters, you'll feel as though you've stepped into another era.Like this lens?
