Travian - A really cool online statagy I found - free...

If you like strategy games that only require few minutes daily, you need to try this one. You can login once per day, or check back every few hours, however you choose. I Like it so much I monitor it from work
some days! I got hooked just before work one Friday and have been playing it ever since.



The best part is you can play for FREE. There are no downloads required either. Travian offers paid accounts, but the only real advantage is a 25% on your production rates and a 10% attack or defense bonuses.

Some Quick Travian Strategy:

You are protected for the first 12 days, so spend your first few days building up resource production.

Just play one good game on one server. I started on 3 servers. I made some HUGE mistakes on one server and deleted it. I decided to just concentrate on one good game on one server. It more is fun and less confusing. But that is just me. You can have one account on each of the six servers if you want.

Read about all the building type and unit types while you are building up resources. It only takes few extra minutes per day to get a good handle on things so you can develop your best strategy.

If you want to be well balanced in defense and offense, be Roman. If you prefer strong defense be Gual. If you like to pillage and plunder be a Teuton.

Build Palace before your 12 days of safety are up. A village with a palace cannot be conquered. Of course, it can still be attacked and plundered. The requirements for a palace are Embassy level 1, Main Building level 5.
