Tinnitus is a ringing, hissing or other sounds heard on sufferer's ears or head. That sound is really heard and seemed to come from inside of ears or head. What is the main cause of tinnitus? The cause of tinnitus is a disorder of fluid balance inside the ear, infection or disease that attacks hearing bone and eardrum.

Recently, sounds that too loud or noisy are often leading to tinnitus in addition to disrupt hearing function. Some drugs (such as: aspirin) and middle ear disease can also cause tinnitus.
How do I diagnose tinnitus? Interview about previous disease history, physical examination and a series of tests can help doctors in diagnosis of tinnitus attack. Other examinations such as: Auditory Brain Stem Response (ABR), CT Scan and MRI are still very rarely done, although in some cases can help determine the cause of tinnitus. Perhaps it is caused by cost considerations, so these tests are not routinely done.
How to cure tinnitus? After a thorough examination, doctor will be able to determine the cause of tinnitus and do the treatment. In some cases, the cause of tinnitus cannot be identified so that tinnitus cannot to be given appropriate treatment. This situation forces patient to experience tinnitus in his life.
How to prevent tinnitus?
When cleaning ear, you can use a cotton bud which has size accordance to your ear canal diameter. Too large cotton bundles will push earwax deeper into the inside part of ear so that earwax is attached to the eardrum. This situation will lead sufferer to tinnitus.
If you had have tinnitus, take drugs prescribed by your doctor. Last but not least, use earplugs or ear protectors if you have to be in a noisy environment.
