In addition, if you are sitting for long periods, you can prevent bursitis onset by switching positions often, making sure that each joint is repositioned regularly. What are some other treatments I might need for my bursitis? 

If you have a chronic case of bursitis, your doctor may suggest surgery to relieve your pain. Surgery for your bursitis can have several options.
