Tucson Real Estate: A Snowbird's Dream Relocation

Tucson, Arizona is a gorgeous place that many snowbirds want to retire because of its comfortably warm weather. There are many great things about Tucson as well as there are many things to do there, especially for retirees. All over the US people have been noticing that the economy has been going through a rough time and many people are having a difficult time buying and selling homes. Tucson real estate is one of the few places in the US that has a great market.

In fact the cost of living in Tucson is three percent below the national average with the housing costs being about twenty percent less that the national average. Not to mention that the property taxes for owning a piece of property and a home is just one to 1.5. This makes it one of the lowest property tax communities in the entire country. Together with the warm weather, this makes Tucson one of the most desirable places to retire.

There is so much proof out there that Tucson is a great place for all the snowbirds that want to find the perfect spot to retire and live. Tucson was one of the cities highlighted in the Wall Street Journal's Your Money Matters feature. Tucson has also been know for having some of the greatest tasting tap water in the country, as reported in Forbes magazine. In a recent edition of Arizona's Daily Star it was reported that has made a commitment to be more environmentally friendly by the year 2012 by reducing greenhouse gases seven percent below the average in 1990.

I mentioned earlier that there were so many things to do in Tucson. For many retirees golf is something they do in their free time. Tucson has more than 40 beautiful courses spread around. There are even courses that were designed by Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. There is a range of country clubs, municipal courses, private facilities and resorts.

Many professional golf events have been hosted in Tucson, which has enhanced the condition of life. It does not matter whether you are a fan or a player yourself; you can enjoy this sport year round. In fact, Tucson has been called the Cornerstone of World Championship Golf. The international championship event brings about 64 of the world's top golfers to challenge each other for the 7.5 million-dollar reward. Tucson is a very lively but small city that has much to offer anyone wanting to retire or live there with it's beautiful landscape and warm weather. It is one of the best places on Earth to play or watch golf. If you are one of the many snowbirds wanting to move to Tucson, you can choose to live in one of the many gated or retirement communities, golf country clubs or resorts or you can choose a piece of land to build the perfect home or buy a home that has that southwestern feel.
