Tri City Wa Nature and Environment

Tri City Wa Nature & Environment | This lens is dedicated to the environment surrounding the Tri Cities Washington area.  The goal is to introduce folks to the wonderful region we live in.

Nature Unrefined: The Raw Beauty of the Tri City Washington Region

Tri City Washington stands in stark contrast to the areas surrounding it. In a land of snow-capped mountains, glacial valleys and lush, verdant forests, the Tri-Cities of Pasco, Kennewick and Richland stand out with its flat savanna-like plains, and dry, temperate climate.  Tri City Washington is a Naturalist's Paradise.

The State of Washington is known for its majestic, snowy mountains and volcanoes such as Mount St. Helens along the central eastern region of the state. Washington State also has very cold winters because of its northern location, bordering the Canadian territory. The eastern side of the Washington State overlooks the Pacific Ocean and is home to some of the country's major ports.

Among the glaring white of snow, and the fresh greens spruce and fir trees, lies the Tri City Wa land of flat, dry plains. The triumvirate of Pasco, Kennewick, and Richland are called the Tri Cities of the Washington State. The region boasts of a unique landscape that is reminiscent of the African savannas, with vast plains called the shrub-steppes...[more Tri City Wa Nature]

Tri City Washington, A Naturalist's Paradise

The Tri Cities of Washington State, Pasco, Kennewick, and Richland, are among the premiere sites for bird watching. The Unspoiled Ecosystem of the Tri cities lends itself to a nature's paradise. The Tri-Cities are right in the path of bird migrations as birds from Alaska and Canada fly towards more southerly regions to seek warmer weather. And because Pasco, Kennewick, and Richland of the Tri city triumvirate has milder weather compared to all of Washington State, migratory birds are often staying longer in the Tri city, seeking rest and refuge from the northern cold. Because of the inviting weather Pasco, Kennewick, and Richland are one of the best sites for bird watching. But the temperate climate is not the only thing that attracts these magnificent birds to the Tri city of Washington State.

Tri Cities Washington is located alongside Harford Reach, the only remaining free stretch of the Columbia River. The pristine waters of Harford Reach traverses a fifty mile stretch of some of the most magnificent landscapes you will see in the Washington State...[more on the Hanford Reach]

Charity Is Important To Us
All proceeds we generate from our Squidoo pages (except SquidooWho lenses) go to Save The Children. Having 5 children of our own, helping children is a natural draw for us. Please visit our World Vision Squidoo lens for more information about a stellar organization and consider ways you might be able to contribute to a worthy cause. We certainly do! Lately, we've created several SquidooWho lenses. The proceeds from these lenses go to the Acumen Fund. Enjoy our lenses and please leave us a comment or two. :)
