Tribal Wars Training Guide - 0 to 3000 Points

Tribal Wars isn't easy. "What should I do first? Which building should I build? How many troops should I have?" This Tribal Wars Training Guide hopes to answer all these questions and give you even more tips to help you succeed in Tribal Wars. This training guide will take you from starting out on your first world with your first noob village to a 3000 point capital of your Tribal Wars empire, this guide isn't just about surviving in Tribal Wars, it's about thriving in Tribal Wars.

From 0 to 500 Points

Tribal Wars Guide

At first you'll want to focus on resources (wood, clay and iron), resources are required to do everything from build buildings to get troops so they're very important and the earlier you have a steady supply of them the earlier you'll be able to really grow your points.

If you're attacked you'll lose resources to your attacker so if one of the neighboring villages attacks you get a wall and build a few spears (requires a barracks).

First upgrade your resources to:
Timber Camp: 17
Clay Pit: 17
Iron Mine: 17

Then get your village headquarters and warehouse to a decent level for now:
Village HQ: 5
Warehouse: 14

Then you should build a few smaller necessities:
Barracks: 1
Market : 1
Farm: 4
Hiding Place: 4
Wall: 5
Important!

Tribes

Never join a tribe too early, but don't wait too late either, if you have someone near you with higher points try joining their tribe so they don't noble you.

From 500 to 600 Points

Tribal Wars Guide

This may seam contradictory to guide for building up your points but when you reach 500 points you'll actually want to slow your gain of points and build your defense. This order seams to work best:

1) Upgrade your barracks to level 5
2) Upgrade your farm to level 6
3) Build a smithy
4) Research swords
5) Then build 400 swords and 400 spears for defense
6) To build troops faster upgrade your barracks to level 10
7) To accommodate more troops you'll need to upgrade your farm to 11

Village HQ: 5
Barracks: 10
Smithy: 1
Market: 1
Timber Camp: 17
Clay Pit: 17
Iron Mine: 17
Farm: 11
Warehouse: 14
Hiding Place: 4
Wall: 5
Important!

Resources & Troops

Remember to build resources and troops or you'll grow too slowly or fall pray to another village after all your hard work.

From 600 to 1000 Points

Tribal Wars Guide

The resources you get from your Timber camp, Clay pit and Iron mine are fine but at this point you'll need to gather more resources from elsewhere to continue to grow faster then your neighbor villages. To do this you'll need to farm the villages around you, basically you'll attack them (which is why good defense is a plus, in case they attack back) and your troops will bring you back resources if they're successful.

1) Upgrade your Timber camp and Clay pit to level 20
2) Upgrade your Iron mine and warehouse to level 18
3) Build more defensive troops
4) Upgrade your Village HQ to level 10
5) Upgrade your smithy to level 5
6) Build a stable and upgrade it to level 3
7) Research scouts and light cavalry
8) Build 100 scouts and start scouting the villages around you with about 20 scouts each so you leave at least 60 scouts at home
9) Build 35 light cavalry and start attacking the villages you scouted with very little troops
10) Build more cavalry with the resources you farm from other villages
11) Build your wall up to level 15 with the resources your village makes

Your villages should look like this at 1000 points:

Village HQ: 10
Barracks: 10
Stables: 3
Smithy: 5
Market: 1
Timber Camp: 20
Clay Pit: 20
Iron Mine: 18
Farm: 16
Warehouse: 18
Hiding Place: 4
Wall: 15

Spears, Swords then Scouts

We build the spears first so we can use the leftover iron to start making swords right away, then we build the scouts last since they're the most expensive.

From 2000 to 3000 Points

Tribal Wars Guide

This is the final growing stage for your first village, the most important building now is your smithy because it allows you to research new troops and eventually build your academy which you'll use to conquer other villages.

1) Upgrade your Iron mine to level 24
2) Research axemen
3) Upgrade your warehouse to level 20
4) Build about 500 axemen

Market: 12
Timber Camp: 24

to help your resources i started farming as soon soon as i could. player around you may have just started as well and you take the closest ones first.
when you stop playing the best thing to do is to send your troops away for however long you think you are going to be away from your computer unless you have joined a strong tribe.
split your troop up into smaller groups for farming as nothing worse then getting to a village and someone has just taken all the resouses from there.

another option is to get a co-player in another time zone

You should start farming way earlier than it says in this guide. And don't be a pussy, send out your defensive troops to farm too. Spearmen have the highest carry capacity of any infantry. That guy next to you who has 600 points when you had 300? He was farming when he was 150 points.

Why don't u train archers? I am not very good at this game, but if u train 1000 archers and 500 spears, i will guess u got a very strong defense....

This guide is okay at best... I only stumbled upon it when looking at some other things. This is only strategy for a mixed vill. Many players use a quick offensive vill. For example, Don't even upgrade your rez levels past 10 and just concentrate on pumpin out spearmen to farm until you get LC. Build swords only if attacked or threat of attack is prominent. You should try to maintain 100% efficiency on HQ Barracks Stable and Workshop (if you have all buildings). You should have a stable and pumpin out LCs when you hit 300 pts. The key to this game is active farming. If you follow this guideline and you have an aggressive player near you, you will fall behind badly.
