Tripawd Jerry Says: "It's Better to Hop On Three Legs Than Limp on Four"
Welcome to my lens. You may have found your way here while searching for ways to cope with your dog's bone cancer. Maybe you saw my Tripod Dog Videos on YouTube.
I want to show you that after the shock of your pal being diagnosed, after the surgery and the healing, you guys can be a fun pack again. There is life after dog bone cancer, I promise.
My people have found an open discussion about my Canine Osteosarcoma, recent amputation, and finite prognosis to be quite therapeutic. I hope you find it helps you deal with it too.
Watch me in the 2009 TV show "NATURE" on PBS, in the episode called "Why We Love Cats and Dogs," by visiting the NATURE website.
As you can see, there's nothing wrong with walking on only three paws. After all, people only have two! Remember your Schoolhouse Rock? Three , oh three, it's a magic number ... indeed.
Together with my people we make three. I complete them. Three represents creative power and Gestalt (when two things become more than the sum of their parts.) The sum of all human ability is three-fold, thought, word, and deed. There are three divisions of time, past, present and future. And most of all, It's better to hop on three legs than to limp on four.
Come visit my Tripawds website after visiting my lens here: I play at my website more often, so stop by www.Tripawds.com and say hello there too!
Love, Jerry

- I am new to Squidoo...and am trying to fit in. I think your story of your three legged dog is awesome! I would like you to take a look at Otto...he is four legged...working dog and because of him, we now have a new pet product...Otto Step!....I'm sure your dog could also benefit from this product, or if not Otto Step..then something very similar for loading and unloading. Please feel free to check us out at www.OttoStep.com and see for yourself. Otto is now 8 years old and gets around a little slower than when he was younger...however I am a strong advocate of protecting your dogs health and this is one way to help prevent joint injuries...please use some sort of loading devices for your pets....especially when unloading! The trauma we cause when offering them a jump down is trifold...think of you jumping off your countertop in your kitchen...well, that is how Fido feels..we don't recognize this until the damage is done. Prevent injuries when their joints are forming...Thanks!

- You should not have put this picture! It breaks my heart! I really hate it when I see dogs that have situations like these, more so, if they are being maltreated but just the same, I really very grateful to have come across this lens of yours and from reading it, I'm sure you really care about them the same way I care for them, too! God bless you for doing so! Anyway, hope you can find the time to visit some of my lenses or you might want to take a look at Border Collie checks and other dog personal checks!
