According to Wikipedia, the deepest trenches are: the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean at 11,033 m (36,198 ft); the Tonga Trench in the Pacific Ocean at 10,882 m (35,702 ft); and the Kuril-Kamchatka Trench in the Pacific Ocean at 10,542 m (34,587 ft).

However, New York City in the United States, Mexico City, and Seoul, South Korea, all tended to show up near the top although the order varied.

  • According to ScholasticCompsognathus is among the smallest of the dinosaurs; Ornithomimids were probably the fastest dinosaurs but as they were similar to Ostriches they probably weren't terribly smart; Troodon was probably the smartest dinosaur as well as the smartest animal of dinosaur times, including our ancestors, based on brain to body ratio; and Ultrasauros was probably the biggest dinosaur.

  • Whether you go by size or population Asia is the biggest continent with Africa second, North America third, and Europe sixth.

  • The giraffe has the longest neck as well as the longest tail of any land mammal. The neck length of the Sauroposeidon is about 38 feet, compared to a neck length of 30 feet for Brachiosaurus and 32 feet for Mamenchisaurus.

  • The 20th century consensus was that the Nile was long but scientists claim that perhaps the Amazon might be longer. However, there is still dispute about this.

  • This vast system of blood vessels -- arteries, veins, and capillaries -- in the human body is over 60,000 miles long. That's long enough to go around the world more than twice!

  • According to World Atlas and a number of other sources, Africa has the most countries. The exact number of countries seems to be up for debate depending on which source you use.

  • Again according to World Atlas, Asia is the largest continent and in fact accounts for nearly 1/3 of the entire land mass on Earth.
