- No offense to vista users, but vista is a piece of crap. Get rid of it and install Windows XP
home ed. or pro. ed. it is a much better and more stable OS. However, if you insist on keeping vista their is some hope for you. Their is a program called MALWAREBYTES anti-malware that is at the cutting edge of malware and adware detection and removal, and I do believe they have an addition for vista. Don't know why these informed folks didn't mention it. I had a nasty piece of adware called Total Security 2009 it was a particularly nasty virus that has given a lot of people problems. I ran my MALWAREBYTES-anti malware and it found all the operating files for the virus and quarantined them so I could be rid of them. And the best part is they have a free edition, and the only difference between the purchased ver. and the free ver. is that the free ver. is manually run and the purchased ver. can be set to automatic. I had tried other removers in the past and MALWAREBYTES was the best by far.

- I went to download XoftSpy SE, however a message popped up and said it couuld not run with Vista. What good is it as mots computers today are Vista.
