A computer can easily get the virus known as a Trojan Horse. The Trojan Horse computer virus is malware that unleashes evil programs and scripts without your knowledge or consent. It may appear to be something useful that you would want, such as a nice screensaver, but deep down, all the program wants to do is steal your information.

Torrents are very helpful. They can get you free programs, music, movies, games, and more...but sometimes, bad torrents are infected with the Trojan Horse computer virus.

First thing is first, you should learn about file extensions.

If you see a torrent that has files in it with file extensions such as:

.mp3 = Music File - GOOD

.bin = Like an iso image - See below.

First off, I like to download torrents with uTorrent...it's just plainly an easy and simple program to use. Once you've downloaded your file, you will have to Unrar/unzip it or load it (if rar/zip/iso/bin/cue). Once it is extracted or loaded into a virtual CD drive, ALWAYS make sure to select all the files, right click, and press scan. This will check for the Trojan Horse Computer Virus found most of the time in .exe files, but sometimes in others.
