How to Make Homemade Jewelry with Troll Beads

I'm sure you've seen the typical craft beads that most homemade jewelry makers commonly use; now here are some beads that, after you learn how to make jewelry with them, they will make the standard jewelry bead as exciting as the first moving pictures!

Troll beads are these unique beads that have been around for 30 years and are made up of many different materials. The higher end troll beads are made of precious metals.

Designs are also quite varied in these beads primarily having shapes found in nature and also of mythological creatures.

Wanna learn how to make a bracelet with Troll Beads

Now that you have been made aware of what genuine troll beads are and how they can significantly add to the charm of your bracelet (pun intended!) you may be holding back simply because you've never tried to make your own jewelry.

Well never fear as there are a tremendous number of resources that can allow you to make your own unique pieces.

Probably the best and easiest resource for learning how to bead would be to check out your local crafts store. Most will offer basic classes because as one owner of a crafts store stated "classes are an intricate part of any bead store", where "people can learn how to do basic beading up to advanced beading". My guess is that once you've started you will want to follow the trend and learn advanced beading techniques to make intricate troll beads jewelry items.

When all else fails, read a book

There is always the possibility that you either do not live near a crafts store or they might not offer beading as one of their classes. If that happens, never fear because there are a tremendous number of resources to educating yourself on beading techniques. One book in particular that I have found helpful is "The Beader's Companion". It is a small book by Jean Campbell & Judith Durant. This handy paperback guide delves into all of the topics that you will need to know to be successful and have fun at beading including: supplies such as beads whether they are glass have specific finishes like genuine troll beads or plain beads, strings and threads and even the various techniques for putting your work together on a piece of jewelry. If you're interested in checking this book out you can find it below.

Setup your Space for making Troll Beads Jewelry

Now that you've taken a couple of classes down at the local crafts store or read up on a few beading for beginners books you're ready to setup shop at your house. Ideally you will want to find a nook in your house that is free from other things. Basically you don't want to have everything on your dining room table.
Make sure your area has enough natural light from a window or offset that by getting a desk lamp to provide enough lighting for your projects.
Finally, you will want to make sure you buy containers to hold all of your various beading supplies: troll beads, string, wire, clasps etc. This makes it much easier to access anything you might need on your journey to learn how to make jewelry.

Start out with small manageable projects first

Once you have setup your work area and have everything organized you are ready to begin beading. This is where I will advise you to make sure you don't try to make some extravagant piece of jewelry your first time...Chances are you will have a learning curve that you need to get over before you start making the good stuff. Start out with a small project using the basic beads and supplies. Once you've mastered the intricacies of laying out your design and have become familiar with the beading tools, then you can branch out and use the more elaborate beads such as troll beads and not have to worry about the common beginner mistakes that occur when a new hobbyist undertakes beading.
