Watch True Blood Season 2 Episode 1 Online Recap

Here is a recap of the episode entitled "Nothing But The Blood."

SPOILER ALERT: Do not read this if you don't want to know what happened.

Ok, so the episode starts off with a body discovered in the back of Andy's car. Everybody starts to freak out, especially Tara, because the body reveals to be the same woman who performed the exorcism on she and her mother. At first Tara doesn't reveal to anyone that she knows who this woman is -- but later, Sookie convinces her to tell the police.

Back at the station, Andy starts to press his will against Tara, which is very annoying as he tries to play the *bad cop* role. He is drunk and the Sheriff decided to send him home before making matters worse. Tara's mom enters the station and is told that this woman was a con artist, but she refuses to believe that and insists that the woman was real and cured her of evil spirits.

As Tara and her mother exit the station, Maryann appears to console Tara. She begins to rip into Tara's mom, telling her that she is a bad mother and she doesn't understand why Tara puts up with her.

Meanwhile, Sookie goes to visit Bill and meets Jessica (his protege) for the first time. This causes some conflict and Sookie behaves like a spoiled brat because Bill did not tell her about Jessica and how she became a Vampire. Bill informs Sookie that he did it to save Sookie's life, but of course, knowing how bratty Sookie can be at times, she storms out of the house and threatens Bill AGAIN about the fall of their relationship. She leaves angry and Bill is left with Jessica.

Back at Merlottes, Sam remembers his past and his first encounter with Maryann. She looks exactly the same as she does now (hasn't aged), but Sam is young boy. He breaks into her house to steal things for survival, but she catches him. Instead of calling the cops, she is curious about Sam and seduces him. The have sex while strange things begin to occur with Maryann, and Sam pushes her away and says "What are you?!!" She laughs and informs Sam that he is not the only one with Special abilities. However, we don't really see what Maryann is yet -- we only discover a bright light that has surrounded her. She jumps into the shower to clean up, and Sam decides he has had enough... so he puts on his clothes and steals some of her valuables and a drawer full of money. He leaves.

Meanwhile, Jason meets with a Fellowship of a church who has a missionary team against vampires. It is obviously a con job to get money from people and brainwash them into becoming killers of vampires, but Jason is fairly stupid to this because he thinks it's an act of God and his purpose. He doesn't have the money to join the program, so he prays about it. The next day, Sookie shows up with an inheritance from her uncle that died. He left her all the money, but remembering that her uncle used to molest her, she didn't want anything to do with the small inheritance, so she gives it to Jason. Jason takes the money and joins the fellowship.

Sookie returns to Bill's house and convinces Jessica to leave them alone for tonight so she can talk to Bill privately. She also tells Jessica that tomorrow they will have a girl's night out between just the two of them and become friends. Jessica is happy and leaves them alone. Sookie then questions Bill about her uncle's mysterious death. Bill confesses that he did in fact kill her uncle, but refuses to apologize for stopping anything that tries to hurt her. She forgives him and they make mad, passionate love together. And yes, they both are completely naked and put on their birthday suits!

While all of this is going down, we also discover Lafayette is being held as a prisoner ina dungeon by Eric. Eric is questioning all the people about whether or not they killed a vampire. Soon after, a new captive is brought in and we realize it's the same person that Lafayette threatened a long time ago in the bar. He apologizes to Lafayette about judging his sexuality and making fun of him. Lafayette forgives him and then Eric returns. He grabs the guy and tries to force him upstairs, but the guy plants a cross onto Eric's face and burns him. Eric, obviously upset, kills the guy immediately in a vicious way.
