True Blood Season 2

True Blood is the hit HBO series based on the outrageously popular Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris. It was adapted for TV and aired last year in season one, and it quickly became a hit.

Sookie is a barmaid in Bon Temps, Louisiana and Bill is a vampire who comes in for a bottle of True Blood. You see vampires have come out of the coffin and told the world of their existence now that they can survive on synthetic blood manufactured in Japan. On the night Sookie meets Bill (her first vamp) he is accosted outside by vampire drainers who want to drain his blood and sell it as a drug. Sookie hears their plans because she can read minds and she manages to save Bill's life. Bill has to return the favor after Sookie is attacked and nearly killed for her trouble and Bill cures her with his blood. They begin a passionate yet troubled romance as Sookie's special gift does not go unnoticed by other vampires who want her for their own uses. Bill has a dark secret he is hiding as well. One thing is for sure, Sookie's life is never the same!

True Blood Season 2, Episode 1

Nothing But Blood

At the end of the last season we were left to believe that Lafayette's body was found in Andy Bellefleur's car. In fact according to the Sookie Stackhouse novels it WAS Lafayette, but in True Blood land it was the body of Miss Jeanette, the fake exorcist. Since Tara knows the deceased she becomes a suspect.

Lafayette is actually looking raggedy and weary as he is imprisoned in a dungeon with other people. It is not clear at first who is holding him and why but he is very much alive.

Sookie comes home after her ordeal to meet Jessica.. the vamp that Bill turned. She is very upset with Bill that he kept this from her and she leaves to stay in her own home. The next day a lawyer shows up to tell her that her Uncle Bartlette has been found dead and that is has been ruled an accident and Sookie has been left with $11,000.

Meanwhile Jason is getting more involved with the Brotherhood of the Sun Fellowhip (FotS) church which has an anti-vampire agenda. He is asked to attend a leadership conference they are having and decided to pray for a sign that he should go. When Sookie decides to give him all of the inheritance money he sees that as a sign from God that he belongs with the FotS.

Sam remembers his history with Maryann who is now trying to help along a romance between Tara and Eggs. Sam is highly suspicious that Maryann is in town to get revenge since he stole money from her years before. Maryann denies that her arrival in the sleepy town has anything to do with Sam.

Sookie returns to Bill's home to ask him if he killed her Uncle. He admits that he did and another argument ensues. Bill stops Sookie from leaving and tells her that for the first time in 140 years he is in love again and Sookie declares her love for him, despite everything that has happened. They make love.

As the episode closes we see Lafayette in the dungeon again. Another reisdent of Bon Temps is also there now. He is one of the men behind the fire that killed three vamps in the first season. We now find out that it is Eric who is holding them in the dungeon and he kills the latest prisoner after an escape attempt. Eric kills him in a loud and bloody scene that leaves Lafayette covered in blood in cowering in a corner.

True Blood Season 2, Episode 2

Keep This Party Going

The episode starts where it left off in the basement of Fangtasia after Eric has dismembered Royce, right in front of Lafayette. Body parts are slung everywhere and lay right next to a horrified Lafayette. Eric on the other hand is concerned about he foils in his hair where Pam was no doubt been bleaching his locks. Eric insists that Pam will be furious for the mess he has made of his hair.

Eric, Pam, and Chow interrogate Lafayette upstairs after that asking what happened to the vampire he had been buying blood from. Lafayette is coerced into telling them he thinks Jason was behind it... but that does them no good because they cannot afford to anger Sookie by retaliating against her brother. Eric then asks if Lafayette has heard of a big blood score in Dallas since a very old and important vamp has gone missing. Lafayette has heard no such news and begs the trio to turn him. They debate this for a moment before attacking and draining Lafayette.. his status is unknown at this point.

Meanwhile Jason heads to the leadership retreat with the Fellowship of the Sun (FotS) anti vampire Church. He quickly makes an enemy when he shares that he was invited to join after only 2 days and it is clear to everyone that Jason is the favorite of the church leaders.

Maryann goes to Merlotte's and spends most of the evening eating plate after plate of food and also gets everyone dancing passionately. Sam yells at her and she uses her superhuman powers to force him to shape-shift. She tells him while he is in dog form that she will do that in front of his customers if he ever threatens her again.

Sookie asks Tara to move in with her which does not please Maryann. Tara also begins to get much closer to Eggs. Eric, with a new suave haircut, tracks Bill at a shopping mall where he was buying clothes for Jessica, and he asks Bill to allow him to take Sookie to Dallas to track a missing vamp. Bill refuses and Eric tells him he asked as courtesy only and he will take her if he wants her.

Sookie tries to become friendly with Jessica and gets persuaded to take Jessica to sit outside her former home so she can just "look" at her mother and sister. When she sees them though, Jessica runs to them and goes in the house. Sookie follows and quickly discovers Jessica is not so very fond of her family as she made out. In fact her father abused her physically and Jessica wants revenge.

Bill interrupts just as Jessica is about to kill her father. Bill glamours Jessica's little sister into letting him in. He orders Sookie out, yelling at her and then he turns to the father and let's out a menacing growl and the episode ends.

True Blood Season 2, Episode 3

Scratches

This episode begins in Bill's car, racing away from Jessica's former home. Bill is angry that Sookie took Jessica to see her family and explains that if he had not glamoured them all, they would be in BIG trouble. Bill and Sookie yell at each other and after Bill calls her a child, Sookie storms out of the car and walks into the woods, declaring that she will walk the 20 miles home. Bill is so angry he does not go after her but waits in the car.

Sookie sees a strange human figure with the head of a bull and gnarly claws. It attacks Sookie and claws her back viciously and then leaves her for dead. Bill runs to her and attempts to heal her with his blood but Sookie starts convulsing and foaming at the mouth. In a panic, Bill takes Sookie to Fangtasia.

Eric summons a healer who tells them Sookie has been poisoned by something similar to a Kamodo Dragon and she sets to work on healing her before the poison spreads to far and Sookie dies. After the poison is extracted Bill heals her with his blood and lets her sleep. Eric is very interested in finding out what exactly attacked Sookie.

Sam is having anger issues and after yelling at his employees decides he needs to leave and he asks Terri to look after the bar. Sam also warns Tara several times to be careful of Marianne.

Jason's leadership retreat with the FotS confuses him greatly as he tells a support group that he has never been a vampire victim and that he actually likes a couple of the vamps he has known. He leaves the group only to be stopped by the preacher's wife and she convinces him that all the heartache he experienced with Amy and his grandmother's deaths were directly tied to the existence of vampires.

When Sookie wakes up, it is daytime and the vamps are asleep. She runs into one of the waitresses and after reading her mind she discovers Lafayette is in the basement chained up and hurt badly. Not knowing how to get him out, she waits until the vampires wake. Sookie demands that Eric let Lafayette go after she slaps him and throws a few verbal insults his way. Eric agrees to let Lafayette go if Sookie will go to Dallas to help search for the missing Sheriff. Sookie demands $10,000 and requires Bill go with her and they strike a deal.

Meanwhile Jessica wakes up in Bill's house alone and goes to Merlotte's bar where she meets and likes a local boy. She takes him back to Bill's home where he tells her he likes her, vamp and all, and Jessica tries to seduce him.

Maryann hosts a party for the locals in Bon Temps and it turns into a wild orgy. Tara begins to suspect something is amiss with the scene at Marianne's and she storms out of the party telling Eggs that they have no future if this is what he likes.

Sookie and Bill return home after a deep conversation about vampires and their propensity for good and evil at the same time. When they enter the house they find Jessica in a compromising situation and once again Bill is furious and looking ready to kill.

Sam takes a midnight dip before he gets ready to leave Bon Temps and Daphne finds him and decides to join him. As she pulls off her shirt to skinny dip we see her back is covered in scratches, just like the injury Sookie sustained earlier.

True Blood Season 2, Episode 4

Shake and Fingerpop

Bill and Sookie interrupt Jessica and Hoyt in a make out session and an enraged Bill orders Hoyt to leave or be thrown out a window. When Hoyt insists that his intentions were honorable Bill lets him know it is not Jessica he is protecting, but Hoyt. Hoyt tells Jessica he doesn't believe that she would harm him at all and leaves. Afterwards Sookie and Bill decide to take Jessica to Texas with them.

Tara decides to move in with Sookie and tells Maryann she is leaving. Then she heads over to Sookies' house despite the fact that Sookie has already left for Texas. Tara did not want Sookie to go but Sookie informed Tara that she is obligated to go after bargaining for Lafayette's release from the basement dungeon of Fangtasia.

Tara visits Lafayette to check on him and wants to stay so she won't be lonely on her birthday but Lafayette orders her to go. He remains huddled on the couch with his bullet ridden leg. Tara goes back to Sookie's house and is surprised when Maryann and Eggs show up with a cake and declare that they are throwing her a birthday party.

Jason remains at the FotS leadership retreat and he is asked to be a Soldier of the Sun and move into the main house with Steve and Sarah Newlin. His retreat bunk mates insist that Sarah must be hot for a new bed mate and that he does not truly deserve this honor. With this idea planted in his head Jason begins to have visions of Sarah in seduction montages.

When Sookie and Bill arrive in Texas the limo driver meeting them at the airport attempts to abduct Sookie. Bill breaks free of his travel coffin and stops him. Bill uses the opportunity to teach Jessica how to glamour humans and Jessica plays with this new power while Bill and Sookie check into the vampire hotel. When Bill confronts the man he tells them that he was hired by the FotS church to abduct the human companion of the vampires arriving that night before said human could help them locate Godrick, the missing vampire Sheriff of Texas. Bill glamours away his memories and tells him to return and tell the FotS that the vamps and their human accomplice never arrived.

Eric shows up at Lafayette's home and offers to let Lafayette drink his thousand year old vampire blood and heal his wounded leg, which Eric insists is getting infected and may need to be removed if he doesn't act fast. Eric alludes to the fact that he is making this offer because of curiosity in Sookie, who seems to value Lafayette. Lafayette agrees and drinks from Eric's arm. Afterward Eric takes a call from Bill who informs Eric of all that has happened in Texas. Lafayette begins dancing around in excitement with the power of aged vampire blood running through his veins.

The party at Sookie's house gets wild as is usual with Marianne's parties. Sam and the gang from Merlotte's show up and Sam brings a gift from Tara's mom, which Maryann throws away. Sam and Daphne kiss and she whispers in his ear that she knows what he is. Tara and Eggs wander upstairs and have sex.

Eric leaves and goes to Texas where he talks with Bill about Godrick. Jessica orders a human meal while at the hotel and Sookie meets a another telepath.. a bellhop who came to her room. Exited to meet another telepath she runs after Barry to talk more but he is not interested.

True Blood Season Two, Episode 5

Never Let Me Go

The episode begins at Marianne's wild party for Tara. Sam follows Daphne out into the woods and finds a deer instead. The deer transforms into Daphne and Sam is shocked to see that she is a shape shifter just like him.

Sookie chases Barry the telepathic bellboy down the hall and interrogates him but he wants nothing to do with her and tells her he considers their "gift" to be a curse. He storms off and Sookie re-enters the room where Bill is lecturing Jessica about drinking human blood and orders her to drink True Blood instead. She storms off saying she will get an eating disorder. Bill then turns to Sookie and he lectures her about leaving the room and how much danger they could be in. Sookie starts to undress and try to tempt Bill into another activity besides talking and it seems to work. Meanwhile Jessica calls Hoyt from her hotel room and they chat.

Jason is woken by an air horn as he begins his Soldier of the Sun training. The cadets are screamed at and refused bathroom breaks. Sarah Newlin watches the training but takes no pity on Jason.

Tara and Eggs wake up in bed together. Sookie wakes up for the first time sleeping next to Bill and since he is asleep she goes downstairs to get the continental breakfast and talk to Barry some more. He still insists that she leave him alone. Sookie grabs some food and heads upstairs where she gets back in bed. Bill wakes and accuses her of having left the room. When she confirms she gets another lecture. He becomes angry when she tells him that Barry knows of her secret. Bill shares with Sookie that he feels helpless since he is responsible for the safety of Jessica and Sookie yet he is not included in any of the decisions.

Maryann shared with Tara that she wants to move into Sookie's house with her and at first Tara refuses, stating that it is not her house and not her decision. Maryann follows Tara to work and causes everyone to go on attack mode with her and each other. Arlene and Daphne go at it and they all take turns taking mean shots at Tara. Tara begins to feel all alone, which is what Maryann wants. Lafayette also returned to Merlotte's and got his job back with minimal fuss from Sam who has some idea that something bad must have happened to Lafayette if he won't even talk about it.

Bill, Sookie, and Eric meet Isabel and Stan, Godric's subordinates, and are unhappy to see that the Texas vampires have no idea how to get Godric back other than starting a full out war in Texas. Sookie proposes that she try to infiltrate the FotS church and read their minds to see if she can locate Godric. The Texas vamps generally don't like this idea and Bill HATES it but Eric immediately decides this is what they should do. A furious Bill asks Eric why he is so concerned about Godric. We see flashbacks that show Eric as a human, a Viking warrior, who was turned by Godric before he could die from battle wounds. Godric is young like a teenager with a variety of tattoos that look tribal. Eric tells Bill that Godric is his maker and Bill softens at this news.

Sarah and Steve are fighting and apparently "something" is going farther then intended but we don't hear what that is. Jason shows up and Steve whisks him away and tells Sarah not to come along. Steve shows Jason an arsenal of vampire attack weapons. Afterwards Jason takes a bath in the Newlin's house and Sarah enters the bathroom and locks the door. After talking to him about Mary Magdalene and Jesus she implies that she wants to give Jason a hand job. At first he says no but Sarah tells him that God wants him to have reward and he lets her proceed with pleasuring him.

Back at Merlotte's Sam and Daphne get busy on the pool table and Tara goes home to find Maryann reading a book at the kitchen table while waiting up for her. This is a major deja vu scene since this is often what Sookie's grandmother did. In fact it looks like Maryann might be wearing some of her clothes too. Tara tells Maryann she wants her to stay because she feels like she and Eggs are family.

The episode ends with Bill and Sookie enjoying their vampire hotel room...

True Blood Season 2, Episode 6

Hard-Hearted Hannah

Bill, Sookie, Eric, and Jessica are all still at the vampire hotel. Eric has called Bill's maker Lorena to the hotel to try and come between Bill and Sookie. Why? Eric hints that he wants Sookie.

Lorena has doubts that she will have any sway over Bill but Eric assures her that he is still loyal to his maker and they have been separated much longer than Bill and Lorena have. Lorena looks longingly at a man playing piano in the hotel bar and has a flashback of her and Bill in the roaring 20's while Bill sang and played piano and Lorena staked out their next meal. The flashback shows the two luring a couple away with promises of swapping partners and then they turn on them in a bloody scene. Vampire Bill it seems has killed and relished it despite the image he has portrayed to Sookie.

Daphne and Sam get to know each other better after taking a tumble on the pool table in Merlotte's. Sam asks about the gashes on her back but she says she doesn't know how she got them, only that she was attacked in the woods and was sick for a long while.

Back at Sookie's house the hot water heater is broken and Maryann is VERY cranky about it. She sends Tara and Eggs off to to get a part for it and while they are driving Eggs begins to recognize scenery on a lonely stretch of highway he swears he has never been. He asks Tara to pull over and they go wandering in the woods until they reach a clearing, a circle of rocks, lots of clothing, and one big rock with a huge blood stain. Eggs swears he has no idea what it is or how he knew it was there.

Jason and Luke are pulled from boot camp to build a wooden platform with a cross on top of it. Steve tells them it will be for a special ceremony called Meet the Sun.

Sookie and the human lover of a Texas vamp go undercover at the Fellowship of the Sun church. They act they like they are looking for a church to get married in by a priest who is NOT a vamp sympathizer. The goal is for Sookie to read their minds and see if she can find out where Godric is. She gets uncomfortable when she begins to pick up on thoughts that they know who she is and tries to talk her way out of the church but Steve attacks her and drags her into the basement while Sarah watches in horror. Bill wakes up when he realizes Sookie is in trouble but Lorena is in his room and restrains him.

Sarah finds Jason in the temple and tells him that she feels like God has lead her too him.. the man she is supposed to be with. When Jason resists due to her married status she tells him she is no longer married in her heart and they get busy in the church pews.

Pam stops by Merlotte's and tells a scared and resistant Lafayette that he is back in the business of selling V and she gives him a large bottle of vampire blood. Hoyt goes to Texas and finds Jessica having told his mom that he is dating a vampire.

Sam encourages Daphne to play hooky with him and go run and play in the woods which they do. As they are running in the woods as a pig (Daphne) and a dog (Sam), Andy sees them and starts yelling "hey pig" obviously recognizing the pig from Marianne's party and thinking it may be the same one that causes Tara's accident. Sam asks why Andy recognized her but she brushes it off as coincidence. Then two people jump out and grab Sam. Daphne leads them to a clearing in the woods with a stone circle. Several couples are having an orgy including Terry and Arlene and Tara and Eggs. Maryann is dancing in the middle. Same demands to know what is going on and Daphne tells him it is the end of the road. Then she puts a Bull mask on Maryann and Maryann starts chanting and pulls out a large dagger. Sam screams in terror as the show ends.

True Blood Season 2, Episode 7

Release Me

Sam is in the woods being held captive by Maryann, Daphne and their wild orgy friends. Sam is about to be run through with a dagger when Andy stumbles on to the scene, still looking for the elusive pig. He is baffled by the scene before him and he fires his gun which gives Sam the opportunity he needs to escape. All the black eyed zombies scream as he runs away and Maryann runs after him in her bull mask. She is closing in when Sam sees an owl in a tree and he quickly removes his shirt and "shifts" into an owl and escapes Maryann. Meanwhile Andy sees his cousin Terry and tries to talk to him but Terry is still under Marianne's spell and he breaks Andy's arm, laughs, and then takes off with Arlene.

Hugo and Sookie are in the FotS basement trapped in a storage area. Sookie tries to calm Hugo as he is freaking out about the cramped and claustrophobic quarters. Sookie is also concerned that Bill has most likely sensed her fear and is on his way to save her. She does not want him to walk into a trap though.

Bill is not on his way though because Lorena is holding him captive in his hotel room still. Lorena has another flashback where she comes home from the theatre with a chorus girl for Bill to feed off of. Bill is not interested though and tells Lorena that he no longer wants to be a monster and he wants to rediscover his humanity before it is lost forever. Bill tells Lorena that she disgusts him. In the present Bill tells Lorena that if Sookie is hurt he will drive a stake through her heart.

Eric and Isabel stand outside the FotS compound wondering how Sookie and Hugo's mission is going. Eric asks her about what she finds appealing in her human lover. She tells him that it is the fact that with humans everything is urgent and exciting because their lives are so temporary. She also hints that she knows Eric is interested in Sookie but he denies it and says he is only there to save Godric.

In the church Sarah and Jason have just made love and Sarah is crying with happiness that she finally knows what love is. She decides they need to tell Steve about the affair immediately but Jason insists that they do not want to be locked in the church with Steve and all his guns when they tell him. Sarah agrees that the ceremony must come first and they agree to tell him later, although Jason looks as though he would be fine with never telling him.

Back at the vampire hotel Jessica and Hoyt are getting cozy. Hoyt tells Jessica he is a virgin and she tells him that she is as well. They decide be each other's first and to make love the next day since the sun will be rising soon.

Since the sun is on its way up Eric, Isabel, and Stan return to their rooms. In the hall Eric and Stan fight and Eric accuses Stan of killing Godric to get his position. Stan denies it and Eric says they will soon know. He also states that if Godric is gone then nothing will bring back what he has lost. Eric apparently has a lot of love for his maker.

Tara and Egss wake up in Sookie's house after the wild party in the woods but do not remember any of it. Sam goes to Merlotte's to arm himself.

In the basement Steve interrogates Sookie and Hugo. Hugo wants out of the cage so he tells Steve who they are, giving Sookie's real name. Steve recognizes the Stackhouse name and realizes that Sookie and Jason are siblings. He assumes that Jason is a traitor working for the vamps and he and Gabe go looking for Jason. Sookie is furious with Hugo and she attempts to reach Barry telepathically so he will tell Bill she is in trouble and needs his help.

Bill and Lorena are both fighting sleep and looking very ill doing so but neither wants to take their eyes off the other. He grabs a phone but Lorena takes it. Bill asks that if she won't let him go to Sookie that she let him call someone who can help, Eric. Lorena tells Bill that Eric is the reason she is there in the first place and that Eric wants Sookie and Bill should let him have her.

Steve and Gabe force Jason into their vehicle and go off into the woods with him where they accuse him of being a traitor and Steve sends him off with Gabe to be killed. As they walk, Jason tries to explain to Gabe but Gabe hurls insults at Jason and calls Sookie a whore. Jason goes nuts telling Gabe "never talk that way about my sister!" He proceeds to beat the crap out of Gabe and run back to the compound.

Sam encounters Daphne on the dock where they swam previously and he holds a gun on her. She insists she is not afraid to die. Sam goes off on her for her betrayal but Daphne is unmoved, declaring her love for Maryann. Sam asks what Maryann is and Daphne shares that Marianne is a Maenad, a handmaiden of Dionysus the God of wine. Daphne shares he is really a God of excess and she hints that he is also Satan. Marianne can bring out people's desires... lust, anger, etc and channel them. Daphne says that Maryann is immortal and all powerful and tells Sam that he should just give in to her.

In the FotS basement Hugo is freaking out again and in an attempt to calm him, Sookie puts a hand on his arm. When she does she "sees" that Hugo is the traitor. He told the FotS that Sookie was coming. When Sookie confronts Hugo he explains that he did it because he is angry with Isabel. She refuses to turn him into a vampire, opting to keep him weak, controllable, and not Isabel's equal. Hugo tells Sookie that Bill is doing the same thing to her.

Steve returns to the church and asks to speak to Sarah about Jason.

Tara and Eggs go to Merlotte's where Arlene tells Tara that she and Terry blacked out the night before, just like Tara and Eggs had. Neither of them know they were in the woods having an orgy. Andy enters the bar yelling for Terry, who is not there. He calls all the people who he saw the previous night devil zombies and they all shrug him off as crazy.

Jessica wakes up in her hotel room with red flower petals spread all over. She tells Hoyt it is perfect and they kiss.

Jason is running towards the compound when an ATV speeds up to him. It is Sarah. She gets out and aims a gun at Jason and shoots.

Daphne is standing at the dock waiting for Maryann who is with Eggs. Marianne thanks Daphne for her service and then steps back to allow Eggs to stab her in the chest.

Gabe is on a rampage after Jason beat him up. He goes to the basement and enters the storage area where Hugo and Sookie are. Gabe starts to hit Hugo and when Sookie intervenes he turns on her. Sookie screams and once again Bill is alerted to her being in danger. He makes a run for the door but Lorena stops him. We see another flashback of Bill threatening to stake himself if Lorena did not let him go. Lorena had no choice but to release him. Back in the hotel Bill reminds her that he was released.

Barry knocks on the door just then and Lorena holds a hand over Bill's mouth before he can cry out. Barry tells Lorena through the door that Sookie in the FotS basement where Godric is and needs help. Eric, in the next room, overhears this and bolts. Barry is pulled into a room against his will.

Gabe is slapping Sookie and attempting to rape her. She screams repeatedly trying to fight him off when suddenly he is lifted off her. Sookie looks and sees a young looking vampire with tribal tattoos holding Gabe by the neck. "Godric" she asks?

True Blood Season 2, Episode 208

Timebomb

This episode starts out in the FotS church basement. Godric has just pulled Gabe off of Sookie and Godric snaps his neck in an instant. Immediately he senses another vampire and calls "his child" down to him. It is Eric. Eric kneels before Godric and Godric orders him to take Sookie and get her out of the church and not to harm any humans on the way out.

Meanwhile Jason has just been shot with a paintball gun by Sarah Newlin. He is confused about why she is angry but when she mentions that they are holding Sookie captive he pushes Sarah to the side of the road and jumps in her ATV stating that if Sookie has been harmed he will be back... and not with a paint gun.

The church is being evacuated and Eric tells Sookie he will have her out fast but she warns him that children are around. Eric adopts a southern bumpkin accent and approaches three of the church members telling them that that Steve has told him to guard the door. One of the men notices that Eric has no stake and demands to know why. Eric glamours the man into giving him his stake but another one of the men attacks from behind. Eric quickly swats them away like flies but stops short of staking one at Sookie's insistence. Sookie tells Eric to follow her to another exit since church goers with wooden arrows are approaching. They go into the sanctuary and get surrounded. Steve tells everyone that they will have their holy bonfire and Eric steps forward to be the sacrifice, murmuring to Sookie that he will be okay.

Lorena is still at the vampire hotel holding Bill hostage and now Barry. She bites Barry and pauses saying that he tastes different. She asks him what he is but Bull uses her distraction to hit her over the head with a flat screen TV. Bill grabs Barry and they escape. Bill stops into Jessica's room and sees her making love with Hoyt. Bill asks Hoyt to take her Bon Temps before the sun rises.

Sam is sleeping in his truck and gets awakened by a call on his cell phone from Merlotte's. Since the bar should be closed he has no idea who called. He goes to the bar and goes inside to see the freezer open. Daphne is inside it with her heart cut out. Within a few minutes the police arrive.

Maryann is back at Sookie's sauteing vegetables, to which she adds cut pieces of a human heart.

Eric is laying on the alter where he is supposed to meet the sun. He is held down by silver chains. Eric tells Steve he willingly exchanges his life for Godric's and Sookie's. Steve refuses to honor this request and tells him that Sookie is just as guilty and he proposes that they tie her to Eric so they can meet the sun together. Sookie screams trying to get away and Bill bursts in. As he runs for Sookie, Steve holds a gun to her head and tells Bill not to come any further.

Just then Jason shoots Steve in the hand with a paintball making him drop the gun. Bill runs up to Sookie and knocks her attackers away, they embrace. Jason then shoots Steve in the head with a paintball causing him to stumble backwards and Sookie uses this opportunity to run to Eric (despite Bill's protest) and take the silver chains off of him. Eric gets up and grabs Steve by the neck and forces him to the ground. Sookie demands that Eric not kill him. At that moment a large group of the Texas vampires break into the sanctuary and surround the humans. On Stan's command they attack and are just about to feed on the FotS church goers when Godric commands them to stop. Godric tells his followers to stand down and then asks Steve Newlin to help him end this peacefully. Steve refuses saying that Jesus will protect him and he goads Eric to kill him. Godric interjects that he is actually older than Jesus and is sorry he missed knowing him. Godric dismisses his followers and they leave.

Back at Merlotte's Sam tries to convince the police he is innocent. Maryann feeds Tara and Eggs the cooked heart, which they start devouring.

Back at Godric's house Bill avoids telling Sookie where he was and only tells her he was held. Jason is praised by Godric for helping them and Eric too tells him that his previous transgressions in buying and selling vampire blood are forgiven, provided he doesn't do it anymore. Isabel brings Hugo into the house for judgment but upon seeing how much Isabel loves him Godric tells him he can go, as along as he goes far away.

Sam is put in jail along with dozens of other townsfolk who have been getting into mischief that Maryann is no doubt behind.

Eric approaches Godric at the vampire gathering and tries to determine why he let himself be taken captive. Godric lectures about how humans have evolved and vampires haven't and how humans are right to fear vampires. Godric tells Eric he sees no harm in treating humans as equals.

Tara and Eggs have finished their unique dinner and now have the black eyes that signify Marianne is controlling them. Maryann watches as they punch each other several times and fall to the floor to have sex.

Back at the party Lorena arrives and approaches Sookie. Bill interrupts and tries to get Lorena to leave. Sookie throws some insults at Lorena and claims she will never have Bill and Lorena attacks Sookie. Godric appears just as Lorena is about to bite Sookie and restrains her. He orders her to go and Bill to escort her out. They go outside as Lorena and cries about how much she loves him.

Back inside the house Luke enters the vampire nest and he pushes Jason away as he approaches, telling him to stay back. He gets every one's attention and tells them he is from the Fellowship of the Sun and he has a message from Steve Newlin. He then opens his jacket to reveal a bomb with silver chains wrapped around it. He pushes the detonation button as the scene closes.

I Will Rise Up

Bill enters the destruction and searches for Sookie. He sees her lying underneath Eric who tells Bill he shielded her and she is only stunned not hurt. Eric tells Bill to take care of the humans and when Bill looks behind him he sees humans with crossbows waiting to finish off survivors. He runs after them, pulling one from a car trying to escape, and bites.

Sookie pushes Eric off of her and and yells for Jason. When she is satisfied he is not hurt she turns to Eric who does not seem to be healing. He tells Sookie it is the silver and asks her to suck it out of his wounds. At first Sookie declines in disgust but Eric moans that he is dying and faints. A very unhappy Sookie starts to suck out the silver from his neck. She gets a large chunk and spits it out. He tells her there is more and she moves to his chest. As she sucks at the wound Eric can be seen smiling.

Bill lets his victim go telling him to tell all his friends that a vampire showed mercy where they had shown none. He goes back into the house and sees Sookie and Eric... he looks away in discomfort and asks Sookie what she is doing. Sookie explains that she saved Eric's life by sucking the silver pieces out of his blood. In disgust Bill tells her that Eric's life was in no danger, that the silver would have pushed itself out. Sookie looks back at Eric and he smiles telling her it was a tiny falsehood. Bill reminds her they are connected now and that Eric will be able to sense her emotions. Sookie slaps Eric on the chest and calls him some names. Eric remains amused.

After returning to their hotel Sookie talks of how angry she is at Eric. Bill reminds her that she was just trying to do what what she thought was good and that she should not be ashamed of it. Sookie insists that Eric knowing where she is at all times and knowing how she feels is unbearable. Bill confesses that it will also likely mean Sookie will find herself sexually attracted Eric as well. Sookie says she could kill Eric for this and Bill agrees.

At the hotel again, Sookie finds herself naked in bed with Eric. They chat cozily about why Sookie would or would not make a good vampire. Eric tells Sookie she is fiercely loyal to the people she loves including himself. Sookie tells Eric she used to think he was cold and hard and empty inside but now she knows he is a faker.. he has love inside him. Eric tells her that love is only for her and kisses her passionately. He tells her "This is the beginning." Sookie wakes up and realizes it was all a dream. She turns toward Bill who is sleeping and stares at him in confusion.

At the jail cell Sam hears Maryann come inside and decides to escape. He turns into a fly and when Maryann comes to his cell she only sees a pile of clothing. She lets the townsfolk out of their cells.

She tells Godric he is fired from his job as Sheriff and he agrees that he should give up all positions of power. He admits that he volunteered to meet the sun in the FotS ceremony and Eric is visibly shaken by this news. Sookie keeps staring at Eric and Bill notices in anger.

When they get up to leave Godirc tells Eric to meet him on the roof. Eric tries to follow but Bill stands in his way and demands that they have it out about how he deceived Sookie. Bill punches Eric in the face and asks if he has made his point. Eric, still sad about Godric, simply says that was is done is done, he and Sookie are bonded now.

When Sookie and Bill are alone she tells him that she is going to go find Godric to be with him when he is in pain. Bill understands but wants to go with her. Since the dawn is coming Sookie refuses to let him come.

Up on the roof Sookie sees Eric cry tears of blood and beg Godric not to let himself be burned alive as the sun rises. When Godric insists that he wants to die Eric declares that he will die along side him. Godric uses his influence as Eric's maker to command him to go inside. Eric retreats and Sookie grabs his hand for a moment and tells him she will stay with Godric until it is over.. which comforts Eric.

Godric and Sookie speak on the roof for awhile and he tells her he hopes that God is forgiving. He also tells her that he is not afraid and is in fact joyous to die, he is ready. Godric is surprised and happy to be with a human at the end and one who cries for him no less. Then as the sun comes up he removes his shirt and walks toward it, letting his body be engulfed in blue flames. His ashes are carried away by the wind.
