The Truth About Forever

The Truth About Forever is a book I read a couple of summers ago that became one of my favorite books of all time. Its about a sixteen-year-old girl, named Macy Queen, who finds out who she is. I know this sounds like another cheesy movie, but its so beautifully written that it could never be cheesy. It is very relatable and reminds us that ordinary miracles can happen.

About the "The Truth About Forever"

Macy Queen is a teenage struggling with her father's death. Her boyfriend, Jason, goes away to camp and leaves her to do his library job. Jason and Macy quickly go "on a break", so Macy goes out to find the Wish Catering Crew, a catering company she met at one of her mother's fundraisers. Here she meets many new people: fun-loving Kristy; quiet Monica (monotone); kind Delia; sweet, and sometimes weird, Bert; and Wes. Wes is the one who shows Macy who she can be and helps her get past her father's death.

Truth

"In Truth," I said, "there are no rules other than you have to tell the truth."

"How do you win?" he asked.

I took in a breath. "To win, one person has to refuse to answer a question," I said. "So, for example, let's say I ask you a question and you don't answer it. Then you get to ask me a question, and if I answer it, I win."
