Your kids reflect on you!

When we see students act out in class or the playground, especially manners, YES, we do think they are being raised in a barn!

Fun, games, and crafts???????

We may sometimes work with little children, but we do not have fun all day long playing games and doing crafts! It's hard work!

The princess is not in the castle!

You may think your child is the star of the world. But seriously, we have 30+ other students in the classroom that are just as important!

Please check their pockets!

Your child is attending school. Not a party or a park. Toys, games, trinkets, even cell phones should stay at home! Many desks seem to double as toy boxes!

We are teachers, but...

We have many skills and roles: teacher, counselor, mother, father, friend, psychologist, social worker, mediator, facilitator, ...you'd be amazed how many different hats we wear each day!

Your child blabs!

We have heard it all. From Aunt Sally's divorce, to Uncle Joe being in jail. We even know that you can't stand your neighbor's curtains. If parents only knew....But don't worry. Your secret's safe with us!

Give us gifts that we actually want!

You may think a mug or a fuzzy bear is a great gift, but when we have 1,000's of each...what else can I say?

Give us gift cards!

Or better still, just a note of thanks!

We LOVE time off!

If you think your child loves weekends, you should hear us.

You would not believe the excitement that we have when getting holidays, weekends, and breaks at Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving! Yes we love it!

Maybe even more than school kids!

The Braniacs are fine...

But we really appreciate, love, and remember fondly the students who touch our hearts.

They have manners. They are polite. They smile when seeing us. They write us little notes. They draw us pictures. They tell us they love us. They enjoy being in our class and at school.

Those are the students that make teaching the best job in the world.
