I Am Ultimate T-Shirt Collector.

This is one of my prized and cherished T-shirts in my collection that I will never sell nor trade.  It is actually a very simply yet elegantly designed humble T-shirt imprinted with white soft plastisol ink.  This piece is cherished by me due to the sentimental value it holds - my fondest memories of the time I lived near Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.

I stayed with my sister and her family for about five months during late 2005 in a nearby Southern city, Wilmington and often drove 5 minutes to the beach almost every day.  Wilmington is known as the little Hollywood of the East boasting a large Screen Gems Studios which produced television program like One Tree Hill, and not to mention movie like Twisted.  A higher education venerable institution, University of North Carolia at Wilmington, is also located there.

By sitting on the shore of soft, hot, golden, sunbursted, golden sands while staring at an awesome, breathtaking, clear blue ocean water and feeling its rushing, powerful, warm and sensual breeze blowing against my face and through my hair, I always felt inspired and calm while I am thinking about many things.  Wrightsville Beach was my favorite place for meditation and solace as well as swimming and walking.    

The clothes that you wear, whether it be T-shirts, dresses or haute couture, should inspire and provoke your thought and emotion.  Fashion is an art and any art that is well done may be a reflection of the artist.  As for the art of clothing, your clothing may reflect you.  Thus, you should choose your clothes wisely, and pick something that can convey what you want your image to be manifested to the world.

T-shirts may be very basic and simple, but they are still a form of fashion and a form of art.  They are essential for those who wish to express simple yet powerful messages and images very easily and effectively.  I'm sure many of you have seen T-shirts people love to wear, usually the younger crowd, that say things such as "I'm With Stupid" or some other moderately vulgar sayings.  Although crude, this is still a form of expression.  Once you come to see and appreciate the clothing that you wear as an art, your perspective on what you buy and what you wear will very much change.

Retiring your favorite T-shirt means you don't wear it anymore.  Why?  Because since this T-shirt holds value to you, for one reason or another, you wish to perserve its' quality.  You want to save whatever sentimentality, memories, and personal life is bound to your favorite T-shirt, or any of your favorite items of clothing.  It may bring you back to a time that is now lost in history. 

T-shirts can be nicely hung in your dust free, dry closet with fashionable and sturdy wooden hangers; And additional storage may be found by using breathable linen containers or wood drawers, still remaining fashionable.  As you enlarge your t-shirts collection, you can expand your storage accordingly.  For very serious collectors, you may have some clear display cases like glass picture frames or compresses to display your collection to others in your living room, for example.  Then, you may help your friends get started on their T-shirts collections as well.  Smile.

T-shirt collecting is really a simple hobby.  I got started in that hobby back in 1990 when I was a professional T-shirt screen printer working for a textile printing company in Rochester, New York.  The value of your T-shirt depends on its' popularity, rarity and famous name.  You can determine the value of any T-shirt by scrolling through auction listing of vintage t-shirts at eBay.  The selected T-shirts from eBay that I would buy and wear are listed below.  You can trade and sell your extra favorite t-shirt with other collectors on the Internet.
