What paint should I use?
Washable Markers can be used for non-permanent coloring in.
In my experience, the colors of regular markers tend to bleed more and may not give as sharp of an edge. But, they are washable.
Per the Crayola site, "Crayola Washable Markers and Paints come completely off clothes and skin, and Crayola Washable Crayons clean right off walls with the swipe of a sponge. "

More info on the type of paints to use:
Permanent fabric markers or paint markers can be used for a permanent colored in design. For something permanent, use acrylic paint pens, they give a nicer line and don't bleed into the fabric like a regular permanent marker would.
Fabric paint with paint brushes can also be used, but may require more supervision and also more cleanup.
Squeezable fabric paint can be used for a permanent design that is also dimensional.
Follow any manufacturers instructions.
