Tuscan Decorating

Who doesn't want the look of old world Italy in their home?

Well, you can have it even if you live in New England!

It's all a matter of decorating style.  For a great Tuscan decorating look in any room, you want to consider the following:

Color: Muted earth tones like moss green and, of course, golden beige with the look of old world plaster.  You can faux finish this yourself on your walls pretty easy - just take a trip down to your local Home DIY Store and find out how.

Furniture: Furniture that is simple but with that timeworn look goes best. I like stuff with chippy paint.  Why not try buying some real antiques for furniture - sometimes they cost less then the repros!

Accessories: Old pottery, Dried peppers, plants.  My favorite Tuscan decorating accessory is Majolica pottery.  You can use it in any room and it is really interesting to look at.  Buy new or antique for a great decorative look.

Wow, your decorating ideas go along beautifully with the Tuscan Gardens lens I just visited. You have talent, too, so I'll have to come back often to see what's new! 5 stars to you!
