Twitter Marketing Made Easy! Use Twitter To Boost Your Business To a Whole New Level!

Since I am going to talk about Twitter and it's benefits, I will have to explain what Twitter is for those of us who are yet to be sucked in to the very powerful hurricane of instant updates or as everyone loves to call them- "tweets".

So, what is Twitter?! Basically, it is a social networking community where you have a profile which consist only of your picture, name and an update box. There is no complicated html pages like the ones you get on MySpace, nor there are stupid applications which are spamming your account on Facebook. It is a very clean and cool community where the point of interaction is to update your buddies on what you are doing at the moment and at the same time to know what is keeping them busy.

Whenever you feel like it, you can update your "status" on your Twitter home page with 150 character message. One isn't enough? Do it again and again until your eyes pop out!

The contacts system on Twitter is also very unique. You don't have those pesky friend requests which you have to send out or approve, nor you have to deal with communities and forums on Twitter. It is kept really simple, and in my opinion: the simpler- the better! If you feel like interacting with someone on Twitter- just Follow them. Yeah, FOLLOW!

It is the only option available! Either follow me or do not bother talking to me. Genius!

Well, you can see now why I really enjoy Twittering so much. Simple, Effective and most of all Fun!

If you are reading this post, I can guess you are a Marketer. It means that you have a product to advertise and a website to drive traffic to. Well, guess what? Twitter is perfect for this purpose!

As I mentioned, people FOLLOW you on Twitter, it means that they see every single instant tweet you send out. Now, how about including a link to your next video or a blog post right after you publish either of them? Maybe adding some cool informative phrase to the mix? Walla! You got yourself a traffic generation machine!

Your only concern now, is to get followers, huh? But how can you do that? I will tell how, I will tell you exactly how you can do that, and it will take you a maximum of 1 hour to accomplish!

and start following people! Nearly everyone has a link to theirs Twitter profile practically everywhere these days...

Another important thing, since you are a part of Twitter now. Whenever you post a new piece of content (marketing related) of course, you should include your Twitter page link, so you would get more exposure (and more people will follow you).

Now, after you have done all of the above, got yourself a massive number of followers, it is time to maximize Twitter's potential.

As it turns out, Twitter is a very powerful tool for effortlessly driving massive traffic to your blog/website/video. I personally love running a blog, so I will stick with it in order to make my point. I personally witnessed my "Success Principles" blog's views number jump from 300 to 700+ in just about couple of weeks. Let me point out, it is a regular free WordPress blog which I haven't advertised. Simply, each time, after I posted a new piece of content, I notified my Twitter buddies with a single update. It looked something like this: "posted another motivational post.. check it out http://www.IgorHelpsYouSucceed.wordpress.com ".

The effect was Amazing! The same goes for videos, articles, Squidoo lenses and much-much more!

This really cool tool, atomizes your blog posting concerning Twitter. It will post an automatic tweet telling your followers that you have just updated your blog with a new post.

Another cool aspect of this Add-on is that it provides your blog with a special Widget, which displays your recent tweets, therefore getting you more followers on Twitter automatically.

This one is also quite interesting. It enables you to schedule tweets ahead, follow automatically the people who follow you while sending them a personal message. Really powerful if you put it to good use.

Integrate Twitter into your Facebook account

If you are using Facebook to market, and I bet you DO, and if not-DO IT, then you will absolutely love this one. It is a Facebook application which integrates Simultaneously with both Facebook and Twitter. All you have to do is go to the application and turn it on. Now, whenever you make a post to your Twitter, it'll show up in your Facebook status as well. The app only send pure twits to Facebook. Direct tweets and tweets that are replies to other Twitter users do not show up.

TweetDeck

TweetDeck is an Adobe Air desktop application that is currently in public beta. It aims to evolve the existing functionality of Twitter by taking an abundance of information i.e twitter feeds, and breaking it down into more manageable bite sized pieces. With TweetDeck you are able to organize your tweets so you can see the basic, public tweets in one column, replies on the other and personal messages on the third one.. It gives you a very good opportunity to keep track of everything that is going on in your twitter account. I personally loved it because I was never able to reply to my followers on time or to notice anyone posting something cool. Now, I am able see everything, keep track on my Twitter and still work on my Business while doing that. TweetDeck was really a breath of fresh air for my Twitter experience, no doubt about that!

TwitWall

With TwitWall, you can embed your favorite videos and widgets, upload your photos, mp3 music or podcasts, - you name it. Just the kind of stuff to keep your followers following (fans cheering, or clients calling). All that, while still enjoying the many social-goodness and customization features you enjoy on Twitter. It is basically, a little-cute Twitter Blog. Therefore, from now on your tweets will be little bigger than 140 characters.

Twitter Remote

This is a real cool plugin you can install onto your website/blog in order to display which Twitter followers have visited your website/blog. I believe it to be a great tool to help you develop stronger relationships with your Twitter friends. Now you have something to talk about :).

Today, as I was browsing the internet, and more precisely: reading a blog post, I have noticed something I knew I must have it installed on IgorHelpsYouSucceed. The ReTweet plugin. The plugin which integrates a cute, little button at the bottom of your posts titled 'ReTweet'. Now, when someone clicks on it, the automatic script ReTweets your post via this person's Twitter account. As soon as I saw this button, I knew I had to install it on my blog. The potential viral power of this thing is practically unlimited! And that is one of the reasons I love Twitter so damn much!

Let me tell you a little story about Twitter...

Couple of days ago, when I was talking to one of my business partners, Linda, she asked me:

-"Igor, why aren't you following me on Twitter."

As I mentioned earlier, Twitter has a block, therefore what happened was, that I have reached a particular number of followers and was forbidden to follow anyone else until the number of my followers would grow to a certain point to balance my account back to the point where I would be able to follow more people. When I explained it to her, she had a brilliant suggestion:

-"Why don't you just remove those who aren't following you back and follow me instead...?"

Freaking Genius!!

She told me to go to www.FriendorFollow.com and enter my Twitter username. This website, what it does is, it shows exactly who isn't following you back!! Awesome, isn't it?!



You know what have I found out? That 1200 people of who I was following WEREN'T following me back!!!

As soon as I saw it, I have removed them, and have removed the block and since then I was able to follow all the wonderful people who were already following me along with hundreds of new followers who were adding me every single day..hell, they still do!

That's about covers it. However, before I wrap this post up, I want to remind you that Twitter is addictive. I have seen many people break under the influence, so be careful-do not get caught into the tweet web.
