Born June 20th, 1971, Jeordie grew up in Southern Florida with his mom and three half-brothers. His mom Dana had been a cage dancer for the likes of the Kinks and other bands of the day, so music was always apart of his childhood.

After seeing Star Wars IV: A New Hope, Jeordie took up the violin, which then turned into rhythm guitar. He eventually started playing with a speed metal band name The Ethiopians before moving onto Amboogalard.

Amboogalard was popular in the Florida metal scene, scoring several Slammie awards and releasing one album A New Hope. Around this time, Jeordie met Brian Warner, who had his own band called Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids. Becoming friends, they played together in side projects such as Mrs. Scabtree.

Warner eventually replaced the band's former bassist with Jeordie after the release of their 1993 debut album, Portrait of an American Family. The rest, as they say, is history.

In keeping with band tradition, Jeordie took the stage name of Twiggy Ramirez. Twiggy for the famous 60's model from England; Ramirez for Richard Ramirez, "The Night Stalker" serial killer. For appearances, Twiggy adopted the "kinderwhore" look. With its babydoll dresses, smeared makeup, and general broken rag doll look it fit perfectly. It also helped that at the time Twiggy was dating fellow Floridian Jessicka from Jack Off Jill and constantly raided her closet. He also dreadlocked his hair.

While he didn't play on the band's first album, he was credited none the less. Already causing a sensation with their provocative names, lyrics, and live shows, Twiggy appeared on "The Phil Donahue Show" alongside Manson and keyboardist Pogo. The band released their EP Smells Like Children, on which Twiggy recorded Scabs, Guns, & Peanut Butter, shortly after.

By 1995, the band was holed up in Trent Reznor's Nothing Studios in New Orleans, trying to write their next album. Tales of drug-filled nights, fighting amongst band members, and other strange incidents lead to the creation of 1996's AntiChrist Superstar. Twiggy became one of the main song writers for the band, creating many of the guitar parts as well as the distinctive sound of The Beautiful People.

Rocketing to fame after the album's release, the band traveled the globe. Never far from controversy, the band met protests and fans alike at their concerts. The traveling and life style seemed to take its toll on Twiggy.

Hot on the heels of AntiChrist Superstar, the band released Mechanical Animals, a nod to the coke-fueled glam rock days. The Twiggy persona took complete control of the man formerly known as Jeordie. More touring and more protesting followed, even though the album wasn't as well received as its predecessor.

Post world tours, Twiggy and the rest of the band settled into life in California, where they had all moved prior to the release of Mechanical Animals. Twiggy became good friends with Dave Navarro and others in the Hollywood scene.

In 2000, the band released Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death), full of Tarot imagery, mysticism, and references to JFK. The record was not as well received as the previous two. Another world tour followed but things within the band seemed to be taking a toll on its members. More more protesting followed, as well as the blow dealt by the media when the band was linked to the Columbine Massacre.

In 2001 Twiggy had appeared in the video for Monster Magnet's Space Lord and he started DJ'ing at the Standard in Hollywood. When Marilyn Manson released its cover of Tainted Love, the video featured the band as well as Tim Skold. Fans started questioning just what was going on with the band members.

On May 29, 2002, the fans were shocked to learn via the official website that Twiggy and Manson had parted company. Nearly a decade of playing with the shock rock group ended with a single posting.

Post-Manson, Jeordie dropped the persona of Twiggy Ramirez and took up his given name. Cutting out his dreadlocks and ditching the dresses, Jeordie came into a more "normal" look.

He played two live shows with Nick Oliveri's band Mondo Generator before auditioning for second guitar in Queens of the Stone Age as well as for bass player in Metallica. The Metallica audition was briefly captured in the documentary Some Kind of Monster.

After losing out on both auditions, Jeordie joined A Perfect Circle as bassist, replacing Troy Van Leeuwen who had taken the slot in Queens of the Stone Age. Touring with A Perfect Circle, Jeordie recorded and supported their second album Thirteenth Step.

In the downtime, Jeordie lent tracks to The Desert Sessions, a collaborative effort headed by Josh Homme as well as to Melissa Auf der Maur's solo debut. Things seemed to be much brighter for Jeordie.

In 2005, a picture of Jeordie was posted on the official website for Nine Inch Nails. Trent Reznor had contacted Jeordie and asked him to join the live version of NIN in support of their album [With_Teeth]. Jeordie, who Manson had wrote in his autobiography A Long Hard Road Out Of Hell, had always seemed to want to join forces with Trent and now he had.

From 2005-2007, Jeordie toured with NIN, subsequently supporting their album Year Zero, which Trent had written while on tour. Along the way Jeordie created the side project Goon Moon with Master of Reality's Chris Goss. As a vehicle for his own music, Goon Moon released their EP I Got a Brand New Egg Layin' Machine in 2005, followed by their first album Licker's Last Leg in 2007.

After their last show in Hawai'i, Trent made a post that the band in its current formation was over. Post-NIN, Jeordie and Chris Goss took Goon Moon on the road in December 2007 for a handful of club dates on the West Coast. Things seemed at a loose end...

Speculation had grown after the departure from NIN that Jeordie would rejoin Marilyn Manson. Manson had made statements in interviews that he missed Jeordie. Jeordie expressed bitterness about the disbanding of the live version of NIN and looking for something more fun.

On January 9, 2008, Marilyn Manson confirmed that Jeordie had returned to the fold, taking up the name of Twiggy Ramirez once more. Twiggy joined the band on their tour in support of their album Eat Me, Drink Me. The two have also said that Twiggy is helping to write Marilyn Manson's seventh studio album.
