The Cullen family from the Twilight books and movies are different from others of their kind.
They live in the small town of Forks, Washington where they try to blend in. They do not want to be monsters and have chosen to resist the temptation to devour humans in order to maintain a somewhat normal lifestyle. They consider themselves to be vegetarians. They survive only on the blood of animals in the wildlife rich forests of the Olympic mountains. Edward describes his diet to be similar to a human living only on tofu. It keeps your strong, but never fully satisfied. Their special diet influences the color of their eyes, keeping them from turning a monstrous red color.
The Cullen's eyes are beautiful shades liquid gold, honey, amber or butterscotch.
Unless they're hungry, when their eyes turn dark, almost black with dark bruises underneath.

- Ahh...it's so hard to find the right shade for contacts. And they're so PRICEY. Wonder how my fiance's gna react when I tell him that I'm saving for a $200.00+ pair of contacts for my constume next year... Eek...I think I'd rather deal with a newborn vampire...Great pix! Awesome info!

- My eyes are naturally golden amber - yes, really. Does that mean I'm a veggie vampire? I get lots of stares these days ... must be the Twilight influence. I may just have a natural costume this year for Halloween - or I could try out the black contacts. Fun lens - bet it hits #1 and stays there in the fall.
