Jake is not quite the mystery man Edward is, but it's still nice to know a bit about things from his perspective. Stephenie is not writing a whole book from Jake's perspective, but she did give us a brief peek into what is going through Jake's head from the time he meets Bella until he learns what she's planning to do with the rest of her life. In a computer crash, Stephenie Meyer lost the original photo reference on which she had based Bella's wedding dress, but she later approved these dresses (including the one at right) as being very similar to how she pictured Bella's wedding dress.

She's been searching online and found a few that are very close. Stephenie says the most important criteria are: old-fashioned, elegant, white satin, bias-cut, long-sleeved, Art Nouveau, simpler than the frilly Edwardian style.

In addition, some high fashion designers have interpreted Bella's wedding dress as they think it might have looked.

The Missing Narcotics Scene
In this version, Carlisle gave Bella some Percocet for the pain when she slashed her arm at her birthday party, and Bella reacts oddly.

The Missing Scholarship Scene
An entire storyline was removed from New Moon, in which Edward tries to anonymously gift Bella with a scholarship after leaving her. In a priceless scene, she ends up busting a window out of Esme's house in an attempt to return the money.

The Missing Cliff Diving Scene
Originally Stephenie wrote Jake sticking to Sam's rules not to tell Bella. Of course, she quickly realized that Jake would cheat and help Bella guess, and the book reads better that way; however, the setup did make for a wonderful final scene of the book.

The Rosalie/Edward phone call and the Alice/Rosalie phone call
Rosalie called Edward to tell him that Bella was dead. Alice called Rosalie to find out why she saw Edward going to the Volturi. Responding to fan inquiries after the book was published, Stephenie wrote out those conversations for us.

Cars are important to the characters in Twilight, especially Edward, who drives a Volvo S60 R, which is apparently the fastest, most powerful four-door sedan available. Here you can see the cars each character drives.
