Review: The Twilight Soundtrack Songs

Alexandra Patsavas, the music supervisor behind The O.C., Grey's Anatomy, and Gossip Girl was also responsible for the Twilight Soundtrack Songs and she aptly applies her zeitgeisty sensibility to the Twilight soundtrack, pulling exclusive cuts from acts like Paramore and MuteMath. The disc begins with epic Brit-rockers Muse's excellently grandiose "Supermassive Black Hole," from their 2006 release Black Holes and Revelations, followed by Paramore's "Decode," in which Williams forsakes the band's bouncier punk-pop sound for a more sprawling, Evanescence-like romanticism. Other standouts? U.K. electronic duo Black Ghosts, whose "Full Moon" is a woozy, feat of otherworldly melody, MuteMath's shuddering, hand-clappy rocker "Spotlight (Twilight Mix)," the always-lovely acoustic folkie Iron & Wine's "Flightless Bird, American Mouth," and pretty piano closer "Bella's Lullaby," from composer Carter Burwell.
Smartly Patsavas's soundtrack provides plenty of fist-pumping moments but far more that are just plain swoony. The Twilight Soundtrack Songs are to die for :-)

The Twilight Movie
After the review of the Twilight Soundtrack Songs now a bit info on the movie itself. The story of Twilight is a modern day romance between a vampire and a human girl. Bella Swan is sent to the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, where here father lives and doesn't expect much of life. One day she meeds Edward Cullen, a mysterious and beautiful Boy. Soon she finds out that Edward is a Vampire, but he explains that he does not drink human blood. Alternativly he drinks animal blood.In Edward Bella finds a soulmate and their love is getting them into trouble as the closer he gets to his new girl, he must ever increasingly resist not to bite her. The romance moves along well until the enemies of Edward come to town looking for his girl and begin hunting her.
The Twilight movie is being directed by Catherine Hardwicke whose previous experience was the very well received Thirteen and The Nativity Story. The film stars Kristen Stewart best known from Panic Room and Robert Pattinson who will be recognizable to the Harry Potter fans. The twilight screenplay is being handled by Melissa Rosenberg known mostly for TV work in the teen/young adult genre.
