Web 2.0 is offering up lots of new (and easy to use) formats that are ripe for SEO. Microblogging, including Twitter.com is suprisingly search engine friendly and not over done, yet. This lens is to show you how to use Twitter for SEO to help your position on the SERP and drive traffic to your site.
I'll offer some general structural guidelines, but feel free to play around and see what works. It only works well if well all join as followers and favorites and don't abuse this new tool. I look forward to this excercise.

SEO and Twitter: This is some cool stuff that really works. You can beat you head to register on a bunch of crappy directories (I'll help you do that on the cheap, email me.) or you can get creative and establish a some easy to come by natural links. My experience with Twitter shows it is possible.If you are SEO savvy, you need to try out different techniques with RSS, anchor text and URL placement to see what works best.

My aim is to build a Twitter SEO community to trade twitter posts. Using different techniques - URLs in the posts, keywords in the URLs, URLs in the URLs...we can test which methods work best.
No black or gray SEO, but trading actual Twitters amongst friends to promote a project or client. Twitter should be as natural as possible without keyword stuffing. We can share results and build a process that will work on many social media sites and micro blogs.

I have a client who has a very long URL. Twitter changes any URL over 30 characters into a tiny URL, which defeats the purpose. I have two twitter accounts and each is for a particular blog. I like to use the following technique so that people remember my sites (and get some juice for search engines):
One of my sites is bsorin.ro - a photography blog. When I update this blog the url looks something like http://www.bsorin.ro/blog/Fotografii-sedinta-foto-Catwork-61.html. Now, this is too long for twitter, and instead off using a url shortening service I use the following link http://www.bsorin.ro/b61 which redirects via htaccess 301 to the original post.
I find that this is a great way so that people remember my site and not depend on a third party service.
I would enjoy very much taking part in a twitter seo experience.
