Which micro-blogging host do you use?

Twitter or Identi.ca?

Micro-blogging is the next big thing with regards to promotion of your sites, social networking and keeping in touch with your mates.

But which host do you prefer?

Twitter is my choice

Personally, I prefer Twitter although I do have an account on Identi.ca but, I believe, Twitter is more user friendly.

I think I tried Identi.ca one or twice but didn't like it much so I've not posted on it since.

Yes, Twitter has its downtimes and sometimes it can be incredibly slow but as I'm using a Twitter client to post my tweets I spend little time on the Twitter website.

Plus it has all these awesome tools:

Twitter Toolbox 60+
Twitter Mania 140+

So where do you stand?

Yes, Twitter is definitely the best :)

inkserotica says:

Definitely Twitter! Nothing to attract me to Identi.ca at all.

mulberry says:

I don't microblog too much, but when I do it's definitely Twitter. I just think that if I'm going to do it I may as well use the service that has the largest audience potential.

NanLT says:

I'd never heard of identi.ca until now.

spirituality says:

In these things it's not just about functionality, but also about reach. Right now THE microbloging platform is twitter and I hadn't even heard of the other ones. So I go for twitter. That may change. These things change often online.

& I love that I can send my tweets as updates to facebook - means my facebook account is updated without me even logging in there.

Janusz says:

To tell you the truth I have never tried anything else. Twitter works well for me though.

No way, I think Identi.ca knocks spots off Twitter

Aldrik.net says:

For me identi.ca, because it is open source & support openid
