This lense is about just one of the ways, you can use social networks to meet, and commmunicate with people all over the world.
I personally was not a big fan of social networking sites as I have resisted signing up for these types of sites until recently.
Many months ago I signed up for MySpace just so I could see more details in profiles such as peoples pictures. MySpace doesn't allow you to see a complete profile without setting up your own profile. I didn't even sign up there with any intention of using the site to do any social networking. I do not even use the account except for when I am browsing other peoples profiles from time to time. I very rarely use that account.
Realizing that in the internet marketing world the big thing now is Web 2.0 with social networking involved I decided to give it a serious try. I have signed up with quite a few social network sites in the last few months. In the last month I have been using Twitter mostly. What I am finding is that I actually enjoy using their system as it is in realtime unlike most of the other sites I have experienced.
