Lenses with Type Style

If you are looking for ways to make your lenses look more original, you might consider using type or font design to make your pages stand out and be more your own.

Here are some ideas for making your lenses look more unique. All you have to do is use your imagination and get out your favorite graphics tool, create, and enjoy.

Yes, if you don't know anything about your graphics software, there will be a learning curve, but it really is something you should know how to do at some point in time. Not that I am formally schooled in it or anything, but I do enjoy learning more about it every day.

See if any of these ideas get you started with your own font and type designs for making your own pages unique.

Free, and highly recommended:
Inkscape for creating your text art.

Three Examples

The following three sections are Squidoo Text Modules with an image illustrating ideas for ways of using word art to make your page stand out, as well as make them look unique to your style.

I've used Lorem Ipsum paragraphs to fill in where your text would be. I do hope this lens proves helpful to you.

Lorem Ipsum!

Yeah, I'm a font freak - I was actually a typographer back in the last century. I make art from fonts and font outlines ... I do love Adobe Illustrator. This is a wonderful type lens, Mimi. Lensrolled to Free Fonts and I think this year I'll explore Inkscape. I'd love to also learn to make my own fonts. Aha, another 2010 goal.

When I have time or when I'm asked by friends, I do some designing of company logos -- and love working with STARS in the fonts/logos. Nice resource -- it is so amazing thinking back to our courier days eh???

I don't have the foggiest idea of what it says, y'all. LOL It's just there to act as filler to showcase the type-art ideas. :)

Oh me! I haven't had Latin since about the 7th grade so have no idea what you are talking about but then I am in the fog a lot of the time. I do want my lenses to look pretty and have one sitting at the bottom that needs sprucing up real bad. I like the font and type designs here but how do you do them? Your lenses always look so inviting.
