What's Your Type? Squidoo Lens Type, That Is!

It didn't start out this way, but one of my major purposes on Squidoo now is to contribute to the community. I've been around for a while. I've learned a lot. And I've been supported, encouraged and loved a lot. I want to give back. I want to offer that education, support, encouragement and love to newer Squidoo lensmasters (people who write pages on Squidoo).

I've created quite a few lenses of this type, but here are my top two. One is a collection of "tips" lenses - - lenses that help people create awesome Squidoo pages. The other is my SquidAngel lens. I'm honored to have served as a Squid Angel and I created a lens to highlight what a Squid Angel is and what I looked for in great lenses. Another reason that I'm part of Squidoo is to write about stuff I'm passionate about. I'm passionate about a lot of things! And I love to write. It's a perfect addiction . . . I mean, combination :).

I've written a lot of pages on various topics that I love. In fact, I'm a Giant Squid, which means I have a least 50 great lenses. I'm also working towards being part of the Giant 100 Club - people who have at least 100 great lenses. Here are just two of my top informative lenses about things I'm passionate about.

Squidoo is the perfect place to support and promote great causes and charities. Squidoo itself does this and there's really a giving, charitable atmosphere here (Squidoo is kind of a charity superhero!).

I support charities that are meaningful to me by donating a portion of all my Squidoo income, but I also create lenses that focus on certain causes. Here are two. One is all about Random Acts of Kindness Day, which promotes kindness every day of the year. The other is the lens I created to support an orphange in Haiti, as well as provide general earthquake relief.

In addition to providing a way for lensmasters to donate money to charity, Squidoo also provides an environment in which people can create their own income. This happens through working hard to create great lenses that rank well . . . and then earning a percentage of Squidoo's ad revenue. It also happens through earning money from the sale of items on your lenses.
