I developed the site because there was no one place to give away my UCF basketball tickets on the days where I could not make the game. So I have developed a forum where UCF fans can let others enjoy what I have been enjoying for the past ten plus years. With the new arena opening soon, I know the demand for UCF tickets is going to increase.

Head Coach - Kirk Speraw 

The Golden Knight's coaching staff has 80 years of combined collegiate coaching experience

When Kirk Speraw first arrived at UCF 14 years ago, the school had never posted a winning season at the Division I level. In fact, when Speraw walked onto UCF's campus in 1993, the Golden Knights had not won more than 10 games in a campaign in over a decade. Simply put, the program was nowhere to be found on the national basketball map.

Fast forward to today. The Golden Knights, with their four NCAA Tournament appearances under Speraw, have averaged 20 victories in each of the last five seasons. Speraw has built a winning program at UCF and the growth was especially evident in 2005-06.

In its first season in Conference USA, one of the top leagues in the nation, UCF finished fifth. The Golden Knights quickly established themselves as one of the premier programs in the 12-team league. The top four squads in the conference - Memphis, UAB, UTEP and Houston - combined to lose just three games to the other eight C-USA teams. UCF served as the spoiler on two occasions, recording victories against Houston and UTEP.

Thanks to Speraw, UCF is now not only a perennial power in the state of Florida, but also a nationally recognized program. Dating back to the start of the 2002-03 season, Speraw's Golden Knights have recorded 84 victories. The 84 wins rank 39th nationally and are second among all state teams during that span.

As he enters his 14th campaign with the Golden Knights, Speraw is one of just 22 coaches in the country to have spent at least 13 years with his current school. Speraw is among an impressive list of mentors who are currently enjoying long tenures, including Jim Boeheim of Syracuse, Mike Krzyzewski of Duke, Lute Olson of Arizona, Jim Calhoun of Connecticut and Gary Williams of Maryland.

Speraw is 209-178 as UCF's head coach. His 209 victories rank second in the UCF annals. Overall as a head coach, he has a 291-199 mark.

Josh Peppers 

30 - Senior - Forward - 6-6 - 205 - Memphis, Tennessee / Whithaven

A Conference USA all-league candidate...is the third leading returning scorer among all CUSA player's... UCF's main scoring option... a strong outside shooter who can also get to the basket... ranks eighth all-time at UCF with 126 3-pointers... is on pace to become the 13th 1,000-point scorer in school history... improved his rebounding last season, averaging a career-best four per game.

Lavell Payne 

2 - Senior - Forward - 6-8 - 210 - Fort Lauderdale, Florida / Tallahassee CC

An athletic player who will compete for the starting power forward job... can also see time as small forward... a good shot blocker... made 11 starts a year ago... missed three games late in the year due to a back injury... runs the floor well for a big man... an accurate shooter inside.

Dave Noel 

3 - Junior - Guard - 6-3 - 205 - Boynton Beach, Florida / UNC-Wilmington

Will serve as a backup at the shooting guard position, but will also see time at point guard... a great rebounder for his size... one of the top defensuve players on the team... can connect from the 3-point range... a solid free-throw shooter

Mike O'Donnell 

4 - Junior - Guard - 6-0 - 185 - Largo Florida / NC State

One of the top point guards in COnference USA... UCf's floor general and leader on the court... rarely turns the ball over... a good shooter from the 3-point range... the only Golden Knight to start all 29 games last season... a strong free-throw shooter... a good defender who totaled 45 steals last year

Adam Gill 

25 - Junior - Center - 6-9 - 230 - Springboro, Ohio / Archbishop Alter

Gives UCF a physical presence in the post... can play at the center or power forward positions... showed improvement as a shot blocker last season... has spent three years in the UCF system after redshirting in 2003-04

Jermaine Taylor 

1 - Sophomore - Guard - 6-4 - 190 - Tavares, Florida / Tavares

Showed great improvement as his freshman campaign progressed... the best athlete on the UCF team... can play at the shooting guard and small forward positions... a great leaper and a strong rebouncer for his size... adeptat getting to the basket... developing into a defensive stopper

Drew Speraw 

10 - Sophomore - Guard - 6-2 - 170 - Oviedo, Florida / Oviedo

The walk-on who saw limited action as a freshman... served as the point guard for UCF's scout team... has a good knowledge of the game... a good rebouncer for his size... has improved his strength and conditioning since arriving on campus

Kendrick Zondervan 

13 - Sophomore - Forward - 6-9 - Hoofddorp, Holland / KAJ Munk College

Showed great improvement during his freshman campaign... gives his all on the court... will improve as he continues to learn the UCF system

Mike Battle 

11 - Junior - Guard - 6-4 - 205 - Waldorf, Maryland / Paris JC

An accurate outside shooter who did not play in 2005-06 due to a leg injury... shoots at a high percentage from 3-point range... can see time at both shooting guard and small forward... brings a winning mentality to UCF after helping lead Paris Junior College to a national championship in 2005

Jacob Loucks 

34 - Junior - Forward - 6-7 - 210 - Clearwater, Florida / Univ. of Mobile

An athletic forward who practiced with the scout team last season after transfering from the University of Mobile... a physical player who can handle the ball... a solid shooter

Stanley Billings 

21 - Junior- Center - 6-11 - 230 - Orlando, Florida / Independence CC

An outstanding shot blocker... a tough, disciplined player... can score inside... shoots at a high percentage... one of the tallest players in UCF history... was one of the top rated junior college players in the nation a year ago

Chip Cartwright 

5 - Junior - Guard - 6-0 - 160 - Houston, Texas / Angelina JC

A true point guard who will give UCF depth at the position... a playmaker who creates opportunities for his teammates... a good shooter from 3-point range... an active player who is not afraid to fight for rebounds inside

Andre Thornton 

Freshamn - Forward - 6-6 - 240 - Memphis, Tennessee / Mitchell

Will provide UCF with a versatile post presence... a strong, intelligent player... a great passer for a post player... can knock down shots from outside and can also score in the paint

Tony Davis 

20 - Freshman - Forward - 6-7 - 195 - Sarasota, Florida / Riverview

A versatile player who can play at both forward positions... a long player who is expected to develop into a great defender... a good 3-point shooter

Taylor Young 

Freshman - Guard - 6-1 - 185 - Orlando, Florida / The First Academy

A true point guard who can also score... will give UCF depth behind Mike O'Donnell and Chip Cartwright... one of four local players on the roster

Kirk's Jerks 

Dedicated fans of UCF Golden Knight Basketball

Here's the short, short version. A group of random students found themselves sitting behind the opponent's bench at the UCF Arena in the late 90's, and realized they all had some key things in common... the love for talking trash and watching college basketball.

The creation of "Kirk's Jerks" stemmed from the need for an identity. Duke has the Cameron Crazies, Alabama has Mark's Madness... and all UCF had was a bunch of random kids. One year at the Edmunds Center, arch enemy Murray Arnold was at the scorers table disputing a foul count while the crowd was dead silent. Paul ripped off the classic line "Sit Down, Jerk"... causing laughter from the entire UCF bench. After that game, one of us had a brilliant idea. "JERK RHYMES WITH KIRK!!!"

Today, Kirk's Jerks are equipped with some cheap t-shirts and have about 25 "members". A handful or Jerks are students, and handful are season ticket holding alumni, and one still sneaks in pretending he is one of the Speraw kids. We're not affiliated with the UCF athletic department or any other group. Each member is responsible for their own stupidity.

Why we go to games is simple. We love basketball and UCF. Times spent at basketball games are some of our best UCF memories, and we realize the importance of strong fan support and how it helps teams win games. Countless players have been owned by the Jerks. We appreciate the game, don't cross the line, lay off the refs (some of us do), and leave the opposing coach with an experience he will never forget.

Convocation Center - UCF Arena 

UCF basketball will open its 2007 in the state-of-the-art 10,000 seat arena in the Fall of 2007. The convocation center area will include about 89,000 square feet of retail space.

The convocation center will have double the seating capacity of the current UCF Arena. About 7,000 seats will be on the lower level, while about 3,000 will be on the upper level that will be built over half of the lower level. Except for bleachers behind one of the baskets for student seating, all other chairs will have backs.

The Convocation Center will consist of the following amenities:

1,500 retractable floor seats

1,000 club seats

16 Luxury Suites with total seating capacity of 192 patrons

Two Party Suites with a total seating capacity of 32 patrons

Loge Box Seating with a seating capacity of 90 patrons

The Golden Knights utilize the Wayne Densch Sports Center for strength and conditioning. Opened in 2003, the building features a state-of-the-art 11,200-square-foot weightroom and a brand new sports medicine center.
