The Untold Story of Ugg Boots

Ugg Boots are Australian sheepskin-lined boots.

Australians have been making and using them for over 200 years in their cultural societies. (They're also known as the Ug boots and the Ugh boots).

Ugg is the generic term for their style of boots and not a brand name for them. The name Ugg comes from the term ugly. They were not known as the best-looking boots, only for their warmth and comfort. 

The sheepskin they use for the lining provides the wearer with cozy warmth that makes you forget what the boots actually look like on the outside. With these boots, you aren't looked down upon for your choice in fashion, but rather envied for your selection. 

Ugg boots are worn in warm weather as well as cold. People like the ability these boots have of keeping your feet cooler due to the evaporation of sweat from the skin. This leaves the skin on your feet cooler than the outside warmer air.  

The Ugg boot craze spread all the way to California surfers and celebrities who like the flexibility they have to provide comfort on the warm beaches to the coldness of the ski resorts. Due to their popularity many knockoffs have been developed. 

Cheaper materials are used in these versions and they don't have the same qualities the real Ugg boots have.

Make sure the lining is 100% Australian sheepskin and not some synthetic cheap fiber.
