Doing Business in the Ukraine

Ukraine is a huge country with over 46 million people. Once a part of the Soviet Union, Ukraine has changed a lot over the last ten years and relations with the European Union grew much closer which opened up a huge range of business opportunties. More recently, the Orange Revolution has crumbled and the financial crisis has brought real hardship as this recentĀ article in the Independent: Orange Revolution Implodes, illustrates.

Dramatic times also offer business opportunities, Ukraine has a large well educated population and high unemployment, for business looking into the future, now is an ideal time to enter the market.

I enjoyed some time in Lvov recently and met a large number of young business people involved in various projects, the atmosphere is vibrant and interesting. If you have any stories to tell, please use the guestbook.
