Van Rental Made Simple...

My Aunt & Uncle have just moved from Manchester to Bristol (exciting stuff I know!), but it was when they came to question how they were going to get from one to the other with their gear that the problem arose.

They didn't have much stuff but too much for their friends car, so I suggested they hire a van (brilliant I know). The thing is they get nervous about driving at the best of times so I was a little concerned as to how they might get on.

After much surfing (my uncles an internet wiz not a surfboard one) he found a few standard van hire sites like Budget, Sixt, easyVan etc and then much to his relief he found www.MyLocalVanHire.co.uk.

I say much to his relief because on it was everything to put his mind at rest! These guys have included information on van hiring to help people who aren't experienced. They talk about everything from the different size trucks you can get to what Payload, Barn Doors to Unladen Weight mean (and you've got me there).

Anyway much to everyones relief my Aunt & Uncle successfully drove their little orange & white (!) rental van from Manchester to Bristol with no incidents to report (well apart from my Uncle leaving his specs in the van. Luckily the hire company found them on return and they have now been retrieved. I mean really).

Sixt offer value for money van and truck rental with a large fleet of vans available, there seems to be one for every occasion.
MyLocalVanHire.co.uk - These guys offer independent advice on van hire, but best of all as well as covering the van rental choices they give you all the info you need about driving a van. With info such as what size you should hire, how you go about hiring one and then for the icing on the cake they explain what all that crazy speech is when people talk about vans!
easyVan part of that Orange empire(!) offer low cost Van hire and list over 100 locations for renting so there's sure to be one near you somewhere!
Enterprise do van rental in the UK. They don't have a huge range of vans but it's worth checking them out, you never know!
