Even though I have most of THE ULTIMATE CHOCAHOLIC HEAVEN COOKBOOK recipes in a notebook from my two years of research, I prefer to browse through them on a computer. I keep all books on both my hard disk and a CD. The CD is mostly for backup.
Let's say I want a chocolate cookie recipe. I go to the main index and click cookie recipes. This takes me to a page listing the titles of all the recipes under cookies plus their page numbers. When I find a recipe I want, I enter the page number in Acrobat Reader's 'Go To' tool and I'm there. Nothing could be easier.
When I find the recipe I want, I print it out. When I'm done, I store that recipe in a special notebook that includes my 'favorites' collection.
This technique works well for most people rather than trying to print out over 2500 pages and having to manually sort through them when wanting to find something. Just let the computer do the sorting for you.
