The Greatest Success Formula Ever Created

Add 3 Components, Mix Together In A Bowl, Out Comes a Successful Business

I wanted to tell everyone the simple formula to all online success.

Traffic + Product + Conversions = Success

This might seem simple, this might seem rehashed, but let me tell you...

That simple formula is the the 'secret' to all online success. Even more, its the secret to all business success, from car sales to drug dealing.

You have a great product that creates value for people, you generate interest through traffic, online or off, and you have good marketing with a web page that converts visitors into clients... guess what... you have success. Yes, its that simple.

It doesn't matter if your selling books or selling coke. If you have enough people that like your product and you put your message in front of them, you will get rich.

Its always been that way, its always going to be that way.

I will separate the 3 components with a more detailed explanation of each, so stayed tuned and SUBSCRIBE to this blog.

Legitimate Business Opportunities

Component Number 1

No Traffic = You Don't Exist

The first component I want to cover in the success formula is Traffic.

This has been probably the most difficult part of the formula to figure, at least for me it has.

There are basically 2 types of traffic when marketing websites: organic and paid.

Organic traffic is usually the free traffic your page receives from web visitors who find you on some type of search engine. These are the sites you see when you do a search and the results that appear usually under the sponsored listings.

The beauty of organic traffic is that:
a) its free
b) your visitors tend to be more targeted
c) once you get a few first page placings, you can't stop the traffic coming to your site

Now for the disadvantages:
a) it takes time to get favorable placings with search engines
b) it requires SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
c) you never know where and how you rank, it fluctuates day-to-day

Next you have paid traffic.

Paid traffic is commonly referred to as PPC (Pay-Per-Click) and the most famous PPC is Google AdWords. Google is the 800 pound gorilla in the search engine world and has by far the biggest stream of visitors. Google can make you or break you, depending on what it thinks of your site.

When using AdWords, or similar sponsored listings, you pay to have an ad come up everything one of your keywords is searched for. Each keyword usually has a different bid amount, meaning the amount you have spend each time your ad is clicked. There was a time, a few long years ago, when you could spend 0.25-0.50 for a popular keyword and get on the first page, but those days are gone. I know many guru's out there are selling magical AdWords courses on getting 0.10 clicks for competitive keywords, but I have yet to see it actually done in this day with a popular niche.

The advantages of Paid traffic:
a) you control how often you ad shows
b) can have a consistent flow of visitors
C) have traffic coming in within 15 minutes

And the disadvantages
a) it can get expensive
b) requires constant adjustment and tweaking
c) getting more and more competitive and saturated

With all that said, you're probably wondering which is the best one to pursue? The answer is usually both. Organic traffic WILL create massive exposure, when done correctly. Once your site gets listed in natural searches, you literally will not be able to stop the traffic coming in. But yes, it does take time and you do need to learn some SEO. But that can be reduced significantly by using Web 2.0 marketing (which will be covered in a different post). Paid traffic is good in the beginning to get the ball rolling and is a great way to test out headlines and copy.

Learning to generate traffic is one of the surest way to have a successful online business. What good is having a McDonald's if nobody walks by it? It works the exact same way on the internet. You can have the greatest business, but if no one sees it, it will not make money.

Once you master, or at least start, building traffic- the other two components will fall right into place and you WILL succeed.

In the next post I will cover the second component of the success formula: Product. Watch for it soon.
