One thing I will say about BANS is that there is a lot of confusion as there is a site that has basically trademarked the term build a niche store or BANS. That said, what is BANS? Simply put, what a BANS store does is grab the RSS api number of a particular eBay search query and posts it as content to your page.
As you can probably imagine, not only does this produce a huge potential for the BANS site owner, traffic wise (considering the vast array of long tail keywords that will be on a page) but will also grab the potential buyers at the tail end of the buying process when they are searching for the most specific things in a search query.
