Bible Prophecy - Tomorrow's News Today

Bible Prophecy makes sense of the events unfolding before our eyes!

Does the year 2012 really bear any significance?

Is there any way we can really know?

What does the Bible have to say about 2012 and the end of the world? Jesus Christ said plainly, "But of that day and hour (of the end of the world) no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only" (Matthew 24:36). This being the case, we can be assured that we do not know the exact date of the end of this world,  whether it's in the year 2012 or at some other time.

How can we know this for sure? What about the three and a half year time period the Bible speaks of wherein specific end time events are to occur? Are those things happening yet?

What is the Truth about the year 2012?

The Return of Jesus Christ - Signs to Watch For

Can predictions actually be valid and come true? Think about it... Is it really possible for man to determine what will be in his future? How often do plans for our own lives - fall through?

It is said by some top specialists in their fields that the Mayans never even predicted that 2012 was the end of the world. But does that in itself negate prediction, or more succinctly, Bible prophecy?

While the movie makers of 2012 have played off a real world phenomenon and marketed to an unsuspecting public to build hype, and ready the masses for the release of what is likely to be a multi-million dollar blockbuster movie, the reality is that there ARE definite signs we can watch for that will indicate this world is near its end!

What are those signs and what do they mean for you?

Fourteen Signs Announcing Christ's Return

By Roderick C. Meredith

From the Booklet: Fourteen Signs Announcing Christ's Return
By Roderick C. Meredith

"Your entire life is about to change. Events will unfold soon to destroy the Western world's way of life as we have known it.

In the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke are three accounts of Christ teaching His disciples what to watch for before He returns. Luke wrote: "So you, likewise, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things are fulfilled. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away" (Luke 21:31-33).

Jesus Christ gave a series of signs that must occur before He returns. Evidently, the fulfillment of Christ's prophecy would happen within the lifetime of one generation-once the signs relative to that specific prophecy begin. So Christ is coming back to this earth, but not right away. Not until these signs have occurred!

Soon, mankind will suffer through the most devastating, bloody war in human history-called, in biblical terminology, the "Great Tribulation." "For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved [alive]; but for the elect's sake [for the sake of God's repentant, obedient people] those days will be shortened" (Matthew 24:21-22).

We are now approaching that time, and these things are now being revealed. "Many shall be purified, cleansed, and refined [God is examining you and me, testing us to see who is willing to obey His Word], but the wicked shall continue to act wickedly. None of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand" (Daniel 12:10, NRSV).

Do you understand that our degenerate, corrupt nations are headed for a big fall? Do you fully realize that America's national debts are almost out of control and that, proportionately, Canada's indebtedness is even greater? Can you grasp the full meaning-in God's eyes-of the spiritual and moral toboggan slide of our entire Western civilization?

If you consider yourself a follower of Jesus, then you should pay close attention to His instruction to you: "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man" (Luke 21:36). Read on, dear reader, to see what things to "watch" for!"

Symbolism of Bible Prophecy

Can it be understood?

The Bible has many seemingly strange and hard to understand symbols within its pages. What do they represent? What about the woman called in Revelation 17:5, "MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH"? What about the beast she rides? Is there any way to understand what these symbols mean? You might be surprised to learn that - yes - you can understand what they mean and even more importantly, you can learn what the real meaning of life is all about. Why are we here? Why were we born? Where are we going? And what will we do when we get there?

And how does Bible prophecy fit into all of this? Proverbs 29:18 ESV "Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law."

You Can Understand Prophecy

7 Essential Keys to Understanding the Book of Revelation

Letting the Bible interpret its own symbols

As an example, look at the prophecy found in Daniel 2. King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream of a massive statue made up of a head of gold, chest of silver, stomach and thighs of bronze, legs of iron, and finally feet and toes made of iron mixed with clay (Daniel 2:32-33). Daniel told the king that he was the head of gold vs. 38, and that the following parts of the body made up of the different metals pictured what were to be successive world-ruling empires to arise after his kingdom, vss. 39-43. In the king's dream there was also a Great Stone cut out without hands vs. 34. God revealed through Daniel that the Stone represented the Kingdom of God and that it would consume the rest of the kingdoms and fill the whole earth and stand forever vss. 35, 44-45.

By simply allowing the Bible to define its own terms - we can see clearly what it is saying.

This is a basic principle of understanding the Bible as a whole, and it is also a fundamental key to the proper understanding the Book of Revelation.

If you would like to learn more, make sure you check out the informative booklet: Revelation: The Mystery Unveiled. This booklet will give you the 7 essential keys to understanding the Book of Revelation.

The Book of Revelation has a specific purpose for being in the Bible. What is that purpose? Can you really know?

Prophecy In the Book of Revelation

The Beast of Revelation

Is this prophetic Beast already here?

Excerpt from chapter 3 from the booklet, The Beast of Revelation: Myth, Metaphor, or Soon-Coming Reality? by author, John H. Ogwyn

Rome-Ancient and Future Master of the World?

The tourist posters display a fascinating Rome-a city of seven hills covered with the architectural glories of the past and present. Rome is a city of contrasts. Old buildings and ancient ruins jostle side by side with a thriving, modern city. Twenty-seven centuries have come and gone since its legendary founding at the hands of Romulus and Remus. During this long expanse of time, this remarkable city has played an unparalleled role in the history of western civilization, as a seat of ongoing intrigue and power!

Nestled within the city of Rome is the world's smallest sovereign territory-Vatican City. Maintaining its own diplomatic relations with all the major powers, this minuscule city-state, ruled by the Roman pontiff, is a full participant in international affairs. The Vatican aspires to be far more than a mere participant, however. It seeks to once again achieve the guiding role it played for so many centuries.

Though Rome's ancient empire received a fatal wound with the death of the last emperor in 476ad, that was not the end of the story! The first three kingdoms springing out of the old Roman Empire, the Vandals, Herulii, and Ostrogoths, were uprooted. The might of the eastern emperor, Justinian, accomplished this "plucking up" at the behest of Rome's pope. Justinian's "imperial restoration" in 554 "healed" the "deadly wound" and launched the first of six historical attempts to revive and carry on the empire of ancient Rome. And according to the Bible, there is a seventh and final revival yet to come. Your life will be affected profoundly by events yet to take place in what its residents call the "eternal" city!

Jerusalem and the Middle East

What role will they play in end time events?

As the pieces are put in place upon the world stage, and the storm clouds gather, for what the Bible calls the greatest time of trouble the world will ever know (cf. Matthew 24:21; Jeremiah 30:7; Daniel 12:1), what does Bible prophecy say about the Middle East, in particular Jerusalem, in end time events?

Did you know that Jerusalem was prophesied to be a great burden to the rest of the world at the end of the age? Look in your own Bible and examine Zechariah 12:2--3.

Yes, Jerusalem is destined to be the focal point of world events at the end of the age! Indeed, the Arab-Israeli conflict has been going on for decades now with unsuccessful UN resolutions for peace toppling over time and again.

What does Bible prophecy say about The End Time Powers of the Middle East?

Who Will Control Jerusalem?

Since 1967, Israel has fought wars and negotiated peace treaties with several Arab states. But Israel has never been able to negotiate a permanent peace agreement with the Palestinians. In July 2000, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak did what no Israeli negotiator had done before-he proposed that Israel would grant administrative self-governance to Palestinians in East Jerusalem. But Barak wanted Israel to retain security control over East Jerusalem, and the Palestinians rejected his proposal. Negotiations broke down, leading to the current conflict. What caused the impasse in negotiations? The one issue that appears unsolvable: "Who will control Jerusalem?"

Master Key to Bible Prophecy

Understanding who's who in Biblical terms

Consider. Does it seem logical that the Bible would mention nations such as Egypt, Syria, and Ethiopia, and yet not mention such nations as the United States of America and Great Britain, which are far more significant in world affairs? What about nations such as Germany, Russia, and China?

The answers may surprise you. The fact is some nations still retain names from ancient times, yet other nations such as the U.S.A. and Great Britain are called by their ancient names in the Bible. What are those names?

Roughly 27% of the Bible is prophecy, and most of those prophecies are for our time today, called in the Bible - the last days.

If you would like to learn more about who the United States and Great Britain are in Bible prophecy, check out the following booklet entitled: The United States and Great Britain in Prophecy

The United States and Great Britain in Prophecy

By John H. Ogwyn

Notice this excerpt from the booklet, The United States and Great Britain in Prophecy, by John H. Ogwyn.

"Why have the British-descended nations come to possess the richest portions of the globe? Why have they enjoyed wealth and power without parallel? Rising quickly to prominence after the year 1800, Great Britain and the United States have clearly dominated the 19th and 20th centuries. But what about the 21st century? Will the English-speaking nations continue to play a leading role, or is a change ahead? It is vital that you understand what the future holds for you and for your family. The events of the next few years will absolutely confound the experts. But you can know if you understand how to use the lost master key to understanding prophecy.

Though much has been written about Bible prophecy in recent years, most of these works have been fatally flawed because writers have not known the master key to Bible prophecy!

Simply put, most Old Testament prophecies are directed at the House of Israel. Supposing erroneously that all the references to Israel in prophecy mean the Jewish people and the Jewish state in the Middle East, most Bible commentators have completely missed the point. They do not know the modern-day identity of the descendants of ancient Israel. Yet they could know, for the records of both history and scripture are very clear.

While the Jewish state and the city of Jerusalem do certainly play an important role in end-time prophecies, not all Israelites are Jews. The ancient patriarch Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel, was the father of 12 sons. One of those sons, Judah, was the progenitor of the Jewish people. What happened to the descendants of the other sons?"

Germany in Prophecy

What does God have to say?

With the E.U. on the rise and the United States on the decline how will Germany effect end time events? What role will the efficient, warrior peoples of the Germanic tribes play as this world unravels?

Is there any real significance that the Berlin wall fell in the Autumn of 1989? Would it surprise you to learn that some knew that it had to fall in order for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled?

Who are the chief nations of the E.U. which guide the decisions and outcomes for the rest of the European continent, and, for a time, Great Britain, and ultimately - the whole world?

The answers to these questions have meaning for the life of you and your loved ones. For insight that you will find nowhere else click on the link below and check out the article titled - Resurgent Germany: A Fourth Reich?

Resurgent Germany: A Fourth Reich?

By Douglas S. Winnail

Excerpt:

"The Power of Ideas

But what accounts for Germany's tendency to undergo dramatic transformations in national character? Why did so many Germans accept the "master race" concept and the destructive policies of Hitler's Third Reich? Part of the answer is found in the cultural history of Germany. It has been said that the character of individuals and nations determines their destiny. A nation's character is molded by the religious and philosophical ideas of its people (ibid., pp. xxiv-xxvii). Ideas and ideologies have influenced cultural and political events in Germany "perhaps more than in any other nation in Europe" (ibid., p. xxvi).

The primary gods of German mythology-Thor and Odin/Wodin-exhibit strikingly diverse characteristics. Thor is a peaceful god of seasons and pastures, but also a god of war. Thor combines in himself two different personalities-the "contrasting elements of friendly guardianship, and dark and dangerous irrationality" (ibid., p. 15). Odin is a god of death, storm and battlefield, but also of wisdom and witchcraft. Odin exhibits "incalculable and unfathomable irrationality. He destroys heroes and protects cowards; he sows discord among friends%u2026 he changes his attachments and affiliations, deserting his friends when they need him the most" (ibid., p. 15)."

Armageddon - Milestone of Destiny

Why, when, and where?

Mankind does not know how to get along with his neighbor, he does not know the way to peace. Notice the following statement General Douglas MacArthur made in his farewell address...

"Men since the beginning of time have sought peace. Various methods through the ages have been attempted to devise an international process to prevent or settle disputes between nations. From the very start workable methods were found in so far as individual citizens were concerned, but the mechanics of an instrumentality of larger international scope have never been successful. Military alliances, balances of power, Leagues of Nations, all in turn failed, leaving the only path to be by way of the crucible of war. The utter destructiveness of war now blocks out this alternative. We have had our last chance. If we will not devise some greater and more equitable system, Armageddon will be at our door. The problem basically is theological and involves a spiritual recrudescence and improvement of human character that will synchronize with our almost matchless advances in science, art, literature, and all material and cultural developments of the past 2000 years. It must be of the spirit if we are to save the flesh." - General Douglas MacArthur

General MacArthur recognized that in order for mankind to have real peace there would have to be an active spiritual renewal.

What about Armageddon? What is it? Should you be concerned for what it portends for you and your loved ones?

Here is the good news - You Can Survive Armageddon

Armageddon and Beyond

By Richard F. Ames

Armageddon, and the events leading up to its place in history, will have great impact on our world and our lives.

From Mr. Richard F. Ames' booklet, Armageddon and Beyond:

"Look at what the Bible says about the terrible devastation that these four horsemen bring: "So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth" (Revelation 6:8).

Have the nations laid down their arms since World War II? No! In the last half of the 20th century, millions suffered from wars around the world, from Korea and Indochina to Bosnia and East Africa, as well as the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Today, few nations are left untouched by conflict. The 2006 Conflict Barometer, published by the Heidelberg Institute for International Conflict Research, gave this sobering report: "In 2006, there were 278 political conflicts. Six of these were wars, and 29 severe crises, amounting to a total of 35 conflicts carried out with a massive amount of violence. Eighty-three
conflicts were classified as crises, meaning violence was used only occasionally. Altogether, 118 conflicts were carried out violently."

Yet all the destruction we have seen since the end of World War II will pale in comparison to the death that will cover planet Earth at the end of this age. One-fourth of all human beings on earth will die, as war, hunger and disease expand across the globe.

Outside the Bible, do any in our modern age see such devastation as possible? Indeed, they do. Comparing the risk of genetic tampering to the "Black Plague" that ravaged Europe in the 14th century, author Joy commented: "My own major concern with genetic engineering is%u2026 that it gives the power-whether militarily, accidentally or in a deliberate terrorist act-to create a 'White Plague'" (Wired, April 2000, p. 249). Modern scientists know that these horrors may be just over the horizon!"

Mankind is developing newer and more frightening technologies with which to destroy itself, while political and social tensions increase around the world. Will the years just ahead of us bring worldwide nuclear devastation, or usher in an era of lasting peace? Will the prophesied "Battle of Armageddon" soon bring destruction and death to our planet? What will "Armageddon" mean to you and your loved ones? And what will come afterward? Your Bible reveals a frightening time ahead-but there is ultimate hope! Read on, to learn the amazing truth!

False Prophets In the Last Days

Is the so called prophecy of 2012 the only one, or are there more sinister deceptions?

Jesus Christ gave us some very sobering warnings about false teachers, and false prophets in the last days. Notice this admonition He gives us in the Book of Matthew, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves" (Matt 7:15 ESV).

He later warns us that many would come in His name declaring that He, Jesus, was indeed the Christ and yet they would still be deceiving many, "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many" (Matt 24:4-5 KJV).

How can we keep from being deceived? The answer is simple: the only way we can know if someone is teaching the Truth of the Holy Bible, speaking the same thing that Jesus Christ spoke, is if we study the Bible ourselves so we can know exactly what it actually says.

If you would like to gain a deeper understanding of God's Word, the Holy Bible, please do not delay to take advantage of Tomorrow's World - Bible Study Course. It is absolutely free of charge! It will challenge you to prove all things for yourself! Don't delay.

End-Time Religious Deception

By Douglas S. Winnail

"When Jesus' disciples asked Him, "What will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" He replied, "Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name and will deceive many" (Matthew 24:3-5). Jesus and His disciples repeatedly warned that religious deception would be a major issue as the world approached the second coming of Jesus Christ. Evidence is building in our modern society that indicates these ancient prophecies are coming alive today, and the stage is being set for their ultimate fulfillment in the years just ahead!

Deception Prophesied!

Three different gospel writers record Jesus' warnings that many false teachers will deceive many people as the end of the age approaches (see Matthew 24:3-5, 11, 24; Mark 13:5-6; Luke 21:7-8). Jesus even warned that "false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders, to deceive, if possible, even the elect" (Matthew 24:24). Jesus issued these warnings to help believers avoid being deceived (Matthew 24:25: John 16:1-4). The Apostle Paul echoed similar warnings on numerous occasions. He warned that false teachers led by a different spirit would preach a different gospel than Jesus preached, and would mislead people to accept a false Jesus that does not match up with the Jesus of Scripture (2 Corinthians 11:3-4)."

Who or What Is--The Antichrist?

By Roderick C. Meredith

Can you prove, from the Bible, who or what the prophesied Antichrist really is? This is not some esoteric topic. Your correct understanding may affect whether or not you will be able to fulfill the role that God has planned for you in His kingdom!

Who or What Is--The Antichrist?

Believe it or not this mysterious character is directly related to the white horseman of Revelation 6, and the great whore who rides the beast, mentioned in Revelation 17.

Notice this excerpt from this mind blowing and incredibly important booklet, written by Dr. Roderick C. Meredith:

"For investigating this subject of the "Antichrist" is not merely investigating some esoteric topic. The correct understanding of this subject could be absolutely vital to the very survival of you and your family in the years ahead. More importantly, may affect whether or not you will be part of the first resurrection at Christ's second coming-and fulfill your role in the Kingdom of God!

Probably within this generation, a powerful religious leader will appear on the scene. He will perform awesome signs and wonders. He will be the final personification of what the Bible describes as the "Antichrist."

Yet, as we shall see, there have been in the past-and are now-many Antichrists! And underlying all of their deceptions is the "spirit of Antichrist"-the wrong approaches and false doctrines which have blinded billions of human beings from understanding God's Truth. The "doctrine" of Antichrist is not understood by most of the world's religious leaders.

"How so?" you might ask.

Because there is a very real Satan the Devil. Jesus Christ twice called him the "ruler of this world" (John 12:31; 14:30). Satan is the great deceiver. The Apostle John made it very clear that Satan deceives the vast majority of mankind: "So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him" (Revelation 12:9).

"But I am not deceived!" you might say. Do not be too sure!

For we will now show you, in this booklet, what is undoubtedly the major deception that Satan has palmed off on mainstream Christianity! The widespread deception about the "Antichrist" is only the "tip of the iceberg" of the vast religious deception carried out in the name of "Christianity." In fact, this deception is so thorough that thousands of professing Christian ministers and priests are themselves deceived and therefore do not even realize that they are perpetuating a lie! Jesus Christ similarly described the false religious leaders of His day: "Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch" (Matthew 15:14)."

Understanding Prophecy

What are the keys?

Many assume that Bible prophecy is something that cannot be understood. Do the facts bear this out? Would an all wise and all powerful God go to the trouble of putting 27% prophecy in His inspired Word if He didn't intend for humans to understand it?

Are there definite keys to understanding Bible prophecy? If so, what are they?

Did you know that one major key is simply to obey our Creator? Sound strange?

If you would like to know more, check out the article below. It will give you 5 basic keys or principles to understanding Bible prophecy.

Five Keys for Prophetic Understanding

By Richard F. Ames

This article teaches us 5 vital keys to understanding Bible Prophecy. Notice this excerpt from key number 3 from Mr. Ames' article in Tomorrow's World Magazine:

"Where is the United States mentioned in the Bible? Or under what name can we locate it? Where can we find Great Britain in the Bible? Obviously the modern names do not appear, but the ancestors of these nations are prominently named in the Bible.

The Bible does mention such nations as Egypt, Libya and Ethiopia-and it may surprise you that Assyria will eventually be one of the prominent nations in the Millennium, along with Egypt and Israel (Isaiah 19:23-24). But which nation today is Assyria?"

Increases In Severe Weather and Seismic Activity

Is it just global warming or is there more to the story?

Some argue that the only reason there seems to be an increase in severe weather and seismic activity, is because we have more sophisticated technology with which to analyze and record them, as well as an increase in population in areas where these catastrophic events take place . But what they fail to mention, or perhaps even realize, is that some of these things have had accurate records kept for over 150 years. For example, the 2005 hurricane season significantly broke records set by the 1933 hurricane season, which had some 21 hurricanes. And perhaps more alarming still, these natural catastrophes are growing in sheer raw force and intensity!

In fact nearly every year since 2004 the hurricane season has exceeded the experts' expectations in the amount of tropical storms that were formed, the magnitude of the storms, and the number that would actually make landfall and do serious damage. (For more detailed information and records on these facts click here.)

Is this all just coincidence? Or are these things coming to pass as they were foretold in ancient Bible prophecies? What about earthquakes in the last 100 years? How about even the last 35 years?

Who Controls the Weather?

By Roderick C. Meredith

Excerpt:

"When savage storms, devastating earthquakes, violent tsunamis or other weather-related catastrophes occur, mankind usually blames them on "Mother Nature." Weathermen are quick to cite statistics of similar events that occurred 30, 60 or even 100 years ago. But what they often do not mention is that such events are becoming more frequent and more forceful.

And the "experts" are seemingly in total ignorance of the fact that there is a Great God who ultimately controls natural events--who blesses nations that obey Him with "rain in its season" (Leviticus 26:4), and who can (and often will) punish a rebellious people with drought and famine (v. 19). Jesus Christ predicted that natural disasters would be one of the signs preceding His return to this earth as King of kings: "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences [disease epidemics], and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows" (Matthew 24:7-8).

This booklet is a warning from servants of the Almighty God. Unless America and the British-descended peoples of the world repent of their heinous sins, the very God of creation will soon intervene to bring about the most horrifying storms and natural disasters in modern history! Then "normal" weather cycles will start changing. In fact, nearly everything around us will start changing--unless we nationally or individually repent and truly turn to the God of creation. This booklet will show you why these disasters are occurring--and what we must do, individually and collectively, to protect ourselves."
