Internet marketing as an affiliate eventually provides you with a highly profitable income. That is an incontroversial fact, - many people make a fortune from it. In fact it is such a stylised way of earning an income, it is almost obscene and certainly stereotype.

Why is the Internet different from any other medium, the answer is of course that it is not different except that it is still developing. Internet marketing is no different to any other form of marketing, there is no magic button to success. However there is a magic formula and all you have to do is apply it. it is this range of knowledge that you bring to the table as an Internet marketing tool, it is wider and deeper, than some people's in some areas and shallower in others. What makes it of crucial importance is that it is your own. it can't be bought, researched captured, or lived by anyone else.

The purpose of affiliate marketing is to force people to act, usually to buy from you and to do that successfully you need the cart before the horse. For Internet marketers the cart is not the shopping cart, it is people who are already buying. Once you have a group of people with money who are hungry to buy, then find a product.

Finding a product first is doomed to fail. Imagine the scenario. You have adult acne and a new job interview looming. There is no way you would wish to present yourself at this interview, with a faceful of spots. You feel desperate and hungry for information about what ot do about it.

Finding free quality information is your first priority, then they are hungry, greedy or desperate to buy. Then think of all the other situations, they may be embarrassing, or painful, or possibly likely to scar and you have found a group of people driven to buy.

Ad copy is generally shortened to 'copy', it is a written text that converts prospects into buyers.

When you sign up with a merchant you are assigned your personal affiliate link and it is through this link that the company knows who to pay. These specialist hypertext links given to you by the affiliate merchant differentiates the traffic you generate to their sales pages from the public. Affiliate Programme

This is now rare in Internet marketing, because it is open to abuse. When you send someone to a site and they sign up for a sales call, it's called a lead, and some companies paid you to give them leads. It is open to abuse as you can get all your friends to sign up for free. It is a technique often used by the Time Share industry.

Pay Per Sale

The most common ways to get paid in affiliate programs. When you send someone to a site and they make a purchase you get paid a percentage of the gross price, it may be a fixed fee or a percentage. However the rate is always agreed before hand.

Search Engine Optimisation(SEO).
Search engine optimization or search engine marketing is the process of making a web site's content highly relevant for both search engines and searchers. in other words it guarantees that searchers and search engines find it as both these factors increase conversions.

Super Affiliate

An affiliate marketer in the top five percent of that particular companies' affiliate marketers. These are the ones that make the majority of all the commissions in affiliate marketing. Super affiliates have two arms and two legs the same as you, there is nothing at all that differentiates them from you. They were all newbies once. Everyone can learn to become a super affiliate.

Two-Tier Program

An affiliate program that makes the first payment to you, the first tier, their first contact. Later it pays you for the second tier of contacts, you are paid a smaller percentage of all the sales made by your first tier.

It pays to find two tiered affiliate programs because you can make an income by giving things away. You can do this by providing a link to a product with your affiliate link to someone who has a list or a newsletter, send them an email pointing out that they will make money if they sign up through you.
